You've Just Won Worlds...

Boarding Party

Crew.

3 Points.

At the start of the combat phase, if you are touching an enemy ship, you may force your opponent to discard one crew card assigned to that ship with a cost of 3 squad points or lower. Then discard this card.

Droid Crew card for the Imperials... don't care about he ability, only that the Imperials have droids too and are not represented int he game.

"Force Lightning" EPT Imperial Only (Must be equipped with Vader or Palpatine on board or piloting)

After hitting an enemy at range 1 with an attack you may add 1 stress to yourself to add 2 ion tokens to your opponents ship.

Is the worlds card restricted to upgrades? I'd imagine it it, but I'd really like to make a unique pilot that is the same as a generic stat wise, no abilities, just with a certain upgrade.

Just to see how people use them.

Like Kenneth, Academy Tie with an illicit slot, or a unique Black Son Ace with an astro instead of an illicit or something like that.

Or Sabine ship card for a rebel Tie/ln

Seismic Detonator

Torpedo

1 point

Range 2-3

Attack 2

Discard this card to attack one obstacle within your firing arc. If the attack hits, assign two stress tokens to each ship at Range 1 of the obstacle. Then remove the obstacle from the play area.

My ideas.

1. Make a rebel hwk pilot who has an ept and his ability is you may increase and decrease the range of a secondary weapon turret attack by 1 range to a max of 1 and 3. So basically rhymers ability I'm a hwk with turrets.

2. A title for the hwk that increases there primary weapon attack by 1.

3. Assassin (scum only) when touching another ship at the start of the combat phase roll a die on a hit result (no crits) discard this card and a crew card on the opponents ship. I also think it would be fun if it was like if you roll a blank discard the card, if you roll a focus keep the card but nothing happens, if you roll a critical keep the card but discard an opponents crew.

4. Modification upgrade.

Heavily modified, 2 points. When equipped you may equip 2 different modifications.

An Idea I've had is a new type of Cannon (maybe range 1 turret): Attack 4: Range 1-2 - 7 pts

Before modifying attack dice separate your attack dice into two pools (i.e. 2 dice in Pool A and 2 dice in Pool B). You may modify dice in one pool. The defender may only choose to roll evades against 1 of the 2 pools, and suffers all damage from both pools.

This offers a subtle I split you choose mechanic coupled with an auto blaster (as long as you put a hit in both pools you guarantee some damage get through.

Locked S-Foils

Title: X-Wing only

Cost (?)

Your primary attack value is 4 for targets within your firing arc at Range 3.

Actually, what I really want to do is give the X-wing a 4-dice primary for thematic purposes, then let the pilot shoot at two targets with any combination of dice totaling 4. I just can't figure out how the mechanics of that would work. But it feels thematic.

Obi Wan crew card 3pts.

At the beggining of the activation phase you can look at all the dials in range 1-3.

Boba Fett crew card 2pts.

At the beggining of the game assign a bounty token to an opposing ship. Every ship attacking it may re-roll 1 attack dice.

I'd want to make a Dr. Aphra or 000 card. No idea what I'd want them to do - perhaps 000 would negate an opposing Crew card ("Ha ha ha you are on fire and also dead")?

Haven't even gotten close to finishing reading all the comments, and I'm already giggling at all the insanely OP T-65 fix suggestions. "Negative costed systems slot", "Extra attack w/ target lock", etc... Guys, the X-wing will be fine in a couple months. Would be a shame to waste the design of a card on breaking the game.

BTL-S3 title that gives the Y-Wing a crew slot (preferably dedicated Y-Wing only crew - but that would mean several cards - not just one :) )

Bomb related crew card that allows dice modification for mines

Extra munitions card that can fit in a missile slot

Something to make PS3-5 generics relevant and powerful.

  • Top of Class (0) - Title. Non-unique Pilot only.

Your upgrade bar gains 1 elite pilot talent upgrade icon. You cannot equip this if your ship already has an Elite Pilot Talent. You cannot equip this if your pilot skill is “2” or lower.

Our X-wing group had a similar discussion to this and these two were my favorites-

  • Ben Kenobi "Ghost" (2) - Crew. Rebel Only.

When attacking, you may change up to two focus results to hit results. If this ability is used when firing a primary weapon, cannon secondary weapon, or turret secondary weapon, discard this card. This crew card may be equipped to any one ship, even those without a crew slot. It is still considered a crew card.

  • Drumfire missiles (6)- rng 1-2, Attack: 5

Attack (target lock): Spend your target lock and discard this card to perform this attack. If you have both a target lock and a focus token, you may ignore the requirement to spend your target lock to perform the attack.

I'd have to decide between these:

Skinny fat

Large ship modification

Points: 0

This ship ignores the new MOV rules

Super de duper TLT

Modification

Points: 0

After the first attack, you may assign your ship a focus token

Critical revolution

Squad modification (New game feature! Everyone loves these!)

Points: 0

You may use the old damage deck and then assign the forums one additional thread about how the sky is falling and FFG hates it's customers

I know this isn't a good post and I probably shouldn't, but I need a little fun in my lame life right now.

:P

On the subject of 0 point upgrades, I would like to see the EPT:

Seasoned Instincts:

Increase your pilot skill value by 1.

0 Points.

I sincerely hope you missed out an "or a secondary turret" in your list of things that cause the card to be discarded. :P

indeed I did. Edit coming.

"Fly In Formation"

EPT 3

After preforming an action Any friendly ship within range 1-2 of you that has that action on their action bar may also perform that action. Receive one stress for each additional action granted this way.

Well, in honor of winning I would definitely do an Elite upgrade. I always like trickery stuff that works with everything and is more interesting to play then fun to play, but of course still fun. Just had to make you think kind of fun. Because it would be a unique life experience and achievement I'd want the card to reflect that with its own 'unique' status. If possible I'd like it to be something that pushes the mid to lower rank pilot cards.

•Underdog, Elite,

Pilot Skill 5 or less only

When attacking or defending, you may have your opponent reroll one attack or defense die. You may equip this card if you don't have an (Elite) icon

Emperor's Reach

Maarek Stele only.

Does something awesome.

Lead by Example

EPT, 6-8 points?

Small ship only

All friendly ships of the same ship type as you with a lower pilot skill than you gain your unique pilot ability.

Whoa! Could you imagine a swarm of tie advanceds on the battlefield with Darth Vader as their leader? Whoa! Might be a little overpowered but for now, whoa!

Or Tycho or Roark or Corran or Serrissu or Howlrunner or... I know I know. But oh how fun would it be? To be realistic this would have to be a unique title for a specific ship and then still...

Darklighter Spin (2 points, EPT, Small Ship Only)

When declaring your target, you may discard this card to declare a ship outside of your printed firing arc as your target. You may treat the targeted ship as if they are within your firing arc. Then receive one stress token.

I was going through my old Star Wars CCG cards and came across this one...so when I saw this thread it is the one concept I had in mind. Realistically I would probably remove the stress requirement for your example because it is 2 points and you are discarding it. Pretty similar to the Hot Shot Blaster in theory, except it could be slightly cheaper with no range requirement and it takes up the EPT.

From my understanding of the Darklighter Spin, Biggs performed a spin maneuver while firing all four cannons to eliminate multiple incoming targets. So for me, shooting out of arc seems a little wonky in some cases, but makes sense if they are 'incoming' from behind and then you spin, turn, and shoot.

Another version with my own spin would be:

Darklighter Spin

Elite Pilot Talent

Rebel Only

Small Ship Only

2 Points

After performing an attack you may discard this card to immediately perform a primary weapon attack against a different ship inside your firing arc. Then you may perform a free barrel roll action.

It acts like a double tap but not one you could use against the same target and has a little bit of mobility built in. Requirements are pretty steep...you could also make it unique if it tested out to be too powerful.

Either way, if making new cards as the World Champ, I would like to see more EPTs in the two point range that are on par with what we have so far as effectiveness...also crew versions of certain pilots we are missing, like Wes Janson and Obi-Wan Kenobi. I would also like to see a Zev Senesca pilot card.
