And yes, I know it has a space for the command tokens, in direct contravention of The Rules.
I'm going to be trying my hand at making a few of these for my games.

Brings up nothing
Looks neat but I'd never use them myself.

Why not?
My storage case has removable compartments in it that I can just take out for tournaments or leave in as need be. Not a matter of not liking it just I don't have any use for it personally.
My Trays are being printed this week.
It's funny, I was reading the thread on tournament trays and posted this there right after you posted here.
I like this idea - is it something 3D printed?
This is something that would be easier to mill than would be to print.

I agree, and with mine its the same...
But when all you have is a Hammer, every Problem starts looking like a Nail....

Any chance of getting a picture so I can see what sort of set-up you're using? I love seeing all the extra stuff people use to make playing the game easier and more streamlined.

What do yours look like?
Yes, this would be much easier to mill than 3D print. This particular one was actually made using primarily a drill. A thin piece of MDF had all the holes cut through it, and then a second piece was glued to the back. Sand it all flush and paint.
I read someone taking about the tray thread. I am also designing a tray for this too. Cnc milled from 1/4 oak. By Friday will have test piece.
Cool.
My OCD loves this.
However, I'm afraid I like this one more:

nice I have been working on making things just like this out of 1/8" plywood ![]()
mass production would most likely be best in 1/8" cardboard or plastic and a laser cutter.

It has fewer slots in it. Does not have a space for a ship ID token or spots for command tokens if ship has four defense tokens. Still this seems a bit more compact than the one leading off this thread. I very much like the idea of these things. Would seem very necessary if you're running more than three ships.
Been thinking about these and would be curious to see them combined with the ship card. For instance the defense token slots would indicate what tokens the ship had and so on. So you didn't need both the ship card and the organizer tray. "All in one" as it were. Although, I suppose genric would be more economical.
"All in one" is what my Prototype is...
Height is less than 6", too... So if you have the 4x6 table, they can sit behind your deployment zone and not hang off the table.
4x being Printed this week, and I can judge costs on those... Would be better to Laser Cut or Mill them in MDF, but all I have access to is a 3D Printer.
Hoping to have Pricing in the next few hours... Luckily, I'm only charged $1 handling and then Cost-Of-Plastic per gram.

Something like the one at top, along with a space for movement values, and stats, so you could get rid of the ship card completely? That could be neat, but likely more trouble than it's worth.

Yes, the tray would hold all the dials and tokens and also provide the information on what dial and tokens it should have. But the trouble is then you wouldn't need three or four general purpose ones you'd need ones specifically for the ships you were fielding.

Looks interesting, but do you just put items anywhere in the open areas? When you get it, a pic with real components would be great.
I wish I could design things like this. . .
