As others have noted on other forums, today the world championships were announced as FFG news and one of the main prizes is working on a future CoC card design.
So because the current on-its-way expansion will have been released by then, it heavily suggests another new expansion on the way, yay!!
Also, the CoC Core Set now appears to be slotted for a reprint!
Both good news for the future of the game and exciting times ahead!!

Yeah. I figured this would happen.
With the announce of L5R and the final faction pack about to be released, it was only a matter of time before FFG cancelled it. Just like what happened with WH:Invasion.
It means their staff can focus on L5R and give CoC a final farewell at Gencon 2016.
And as with WH:I after time I suspect fan interest online will fade
