We just finished our first week of League play in South Florida and I am posting the battle reports from week 1 games. Wave 7 ships certainly making an appearance in our meta. Rebel, TLT and K-Wings look popular, Tie Punishers made some appearances and we expect to see more Scum wave 7 represented in week 2.

- Ewok Mafia v. No Mas Pancakes
In the first league game of the season EM went old school thematic and took two X-Wings and a Y-Wing against NMP new/old school Punisher mini-Swarm. The game went in NMP favor after the first pass, but then got close at the end. Ultimately, it was a victory for the Imperial's as the X-Wings could't stand up to the bombastic "Deathrain" and his Tie Fighter friends. NMP 179 EM 79
- No Mas Pancakes v. Rebel without a Cause
NMP new school/old school "Deathrain" miniswarm went up against RWC finely painted Scum Houndstooth/Z-95 mini swarm, aka the Soontir Fel hater squad. First round RWC tried to out flank NMP by going around asteroids. Two ships landed on asteroids. Houndstooth flew straight up board. Second round houndstooth took out one tie fighter, no shots landed from zs. This was close match which ultimatly came down to some horrible dice rolls by RWC. NMP laid down the punishment once again.
- Magnitudinous Firepower Repulsor v. Tarkin's Ticklers
In this game MFR began its reign of terror bringing 3 Y-Wings with Twin Laswer Turrets and a named Z-95 up against TT's experiemental Imperial squad that should never be played again. Ever. MFR showed the strength of formation flying and the power of the TLT. TT's Phantom, Tie Bomber and Tie Advanced squad couldn't stand up to the poking from the TLTs. The good news for Imperials is the Phantom is back as a viable ship, the bad news is the Tie Bomber is still horrible. MFR also played a text book turn of Glitterstem. If played at the right time this card can be a game changer. Watch out folks. MFR 125 TT 75
- OZthegreatandpowerfull v. Tarkin's Tickler
OZ played an old school/new school Rebel build, bringing Miranda and Han Solo to the table. Miranda had most of the upgrades with a TLT and ordinance. TT brought Carnor Jax, Zertik Strom and a Doomshuttle. On the first pass TT was able to get through the falcon shields and use gunner to double crit the Falcon. That and some lucky dice rolls spelled the end for Han. Miranda lasted a few turns longer and the game would have been closer if an advanced SLAM action by OZ had been one hair farther to avoid firing arcs. Advanced SLAM can be huge. TT 200 - OZ 0
- OZthegreatandpowefull v. No Mas Pancakes
OZ played the old school/new school Rebel list with Miranda and Han. OZ used different upgrade cards and was able to dispatch NMP Imperial Old School list 100-0. OZ 200 - NMP 0
- Magnitiduinous Firepower Repulser v. No Mas Pancakes
MFR reign of terror continued. MFR tweaked his TLT list. Still had the 3 Y-Wings. NMP brought the Imperial old school/new school Punisher mini-swarm. MFR had a slight lead most of the game, but it got really close at the end where it was "Deathrain" and Nightbeast vs 2 TLT Y-Wings. Some bad dice ended any hope NMP had to topple MFR undefeated place at the top of the league. MFR 150 - NMP 50
- Tarkin's Tickler's v. No Mas Pancakes
Tarkin's Ticklers brought an evil squad of Whisper, Maarek Stele and a Doomshuttle to face NMP's Imperial Oicunn, Howlrunner, Epsilon leader and Darkcurse. By turn 2 Whisper had made some bad moves and had already lost two shields. It looked like TT was going to lose. Turn 3 was a big turning point. Whisper was able to range 1, one shot Howlrunner and Maarek Stele was able to range 1, proton rocket 1 shot, Dark Curse. From there out poor captian Oicunn was a crit magnet with Maarek picking what crits to hang on him and the Doomshuttle Vadering when needed. Maarek's ability is actually cool and this was the first time I've seen it used. If it was't for the hot dice in turn 3 this game could have gone either way. TT 200 -NMP 0
