Thats a nice little haul, good on whomever wins that!

I want those dice so bad. *drool*

I highly doubt I'll make top 16 though unless there's only 16 players. :P

My goal for Worlds is to win just one match. Setting the bar low lol.

Those Vader cards and the dice will cost a fortunate on ebay.... ****, I want that Vader Card. Lets move Worlds to Germany!

I wish they done this near me. Then I'd have a good excuse to get into Skirmish.

It'd be a 5 hour drive for me that I would consider attending if I felt competent at all in Skirmish. I really hope that who ever wins is into EU and doesn't waste their 'card' on something like Ewoks.

Really nice awards :) just a shame that some of the best players in the world wont be attending

Anyone else kinda meh about the winner's mat? 3x3 is huge, and doesnt fit on a normal table. It looks cool and all, just a bit big.

The mat is completely useless in my opinion

I use my X-Wing mat when I play. Mostly just so the board stands out more from the table and the dice aren't so loud.

I assume the card the winner will get to design will be a Command card or Skirmish Upgrade rather than a unit. That's how it's gone for the X-Wing winners anyway. Just a small upgrade card.

So how do these things work? Do you have to have been a regional winner to compete, or can anyone just go in there and play?

You're probably right, since this is a skirmish tournament. I'd also like to believe that the designers put a lot of thought into balancing units, something that would be hard for a player to do on the fly.

If you've won Nationals or Regionals I think you get free entry. Otherwise you just buy a ticket. Though they're all sold out by now I think.

I am guessing the Design a card thing will probably end up being a card that is mostly useful in skirmish and not very useful in the campaign. At least If I understand the mind set of a skirmish player.

I would love to buy a point tracker and a 3’ x 3’ playmat. Why aren't these for sale?

Yes, this!

In fact how do you guys go about tracking your points? I'd love one of those dials (or all 3 of course!)

At the moment I use two of those "Threat and Round Dials" (one for each player). One Dial goes from 1 to 20 the other from 0 to 20. This adds up to 1 to 40. For sure this is not the high end ...

There are so few of these, I don't think eBay is really going to be help! The 1 or 2 that might make it there are going to be super expensive...

There is some real shiny stuff there (hello dice etc!), but not sure I can keep justifying the "chase" part of the game as I can't get to all/any tournaments...

Funny, I though an Ewok would be first choice!! Haha...

It will probably be some card that is super strong against 4x4 imperial guards or against rebel saboteurs. Depending on what the skirmish player was going up against.

I just use the round/threat tracker for campaign.

Use the round dial until you reach 20 points, then just use the Threat and the round to show your score.

Never even thought about tracking points. When you wipe a group, you get the deployment card. When you capture a crate or something you get the crate as a marker. If there is additional non-token related VP rewards, I use the mission markers to represent a 'score.' So if you score 6 VP by being in someone's deployment zone, each mission token counts for 6 and goes with your captured deployment cards.

remember every body attending world's will have a goody bag with one of each worlds promo for every game in it so a few more promos will be around.

22 hour drive or $500 airplane ticket for me.
