2 Gold Tlt 2 Blues

Played this combo last night to devastating results. Not that is really too much of a surprise but better than expected. I think I've seen the list mentioned somewhere else but the build I ran was the following:

98pts

x2 Gold squadron w/ R2 astromech & Tlt - 25pts each

x2 Blue squadron w/ fire control system - 24pts each

R1 donut was covered but you still get an aoe from the tlts. Really nothing I would change in the list. Against 4 tlts I think the real decider would be whoever lost the first ship. I was curious what the community thought of this vs 4 tlts and to see if anyone had any suggestions on modifying it (other than 4tlts) as the 2 point bid on an all ps2 list feels wasted to me.

I like it. I'm planning on trying out a similar list.

Roark w/tlt + recspec = 28 points

that's room for 3 24 pointers, i.e 2 FCS blues and a TLT y-wing

it's pretty disgusting

The Roark one IS probably the better build overall, if you like HWKs.

It was good in its day, so it doesn't surprise me that FCS and TLT could improve it!! Very nice. I expect it to do well.

The Roark one IS probably the better build overall, if you like HWKs.

It was good in its day, so it doesn't surprise me that FCS and TLT could improve it!! Very nice. I expect it to do well.

I still run 2 blues w/fcs and 2 golds with ion on occasion but the ions just don't hold a candle to tlts most of the time.

I think mixed lists with TLTs are going to be the real thing, rather than spam lists. Spam lists struggle to close the donut hole, they move early and shoot late, and if they come up against something that resists lots of really low-quality shots, they're in serious trouble (Guri + Lone Wolf + Autothrusters + Sensor Jammer might be the ultimate in "hey, watch me solo your list!").

But a list with one or two of those nice, cheap Y-wings has a lot of room to cover its weaknesses. You can afford an ace or a mini-swarm, or (as you've done here) you can split the difference with a couple of generic heavy fighters. It's a lot harder to fight, because the same approach won't work against everything in the list simultaneously.

I'd be inclined to go for Grays and Daggers as my local meta puts Predator on everything that can take it - but yeah, solid list.

I've also had a blast with a pair of naked Bs, Biggs and TLT Dutch with R5-K6 - I know he's not the most efficient 'mech but he's hilarious when he works

4 2PS ships don't need to bid for simultaneous fire.

And the Bs can stay caught/cover that donut hole easier.

Remove the r2s and add some int agents to the b's so they can block anyone gunning for the donuts.

Regarding the OPs initial list, I wonder if it would be worth dropping the R2s to bump both Blues to Daggers.

Another option I've experimented with is using Dutch Vander as one of your Y-Wings to pass out target locks to your B-Wings.

You trail the Ys behind the Zs and block as well as you can, the Agromeched TLTs do the main job then. Should also work against 4 TLT due to massed Z-95 fire.
