Battle Report: Lots and lots of bombers

By WWPDSteven, in Star Wars: Armada

Some questions/observations:

Did the XX-batteries ever come into play? They look interesting on paper when coupled with Dodonna (2 picks from 8 cards can be enough to shut down anything), but I've never gotten it to work...

And Chiraneau + low speed of B-wings made it difficult to keep those bombers engaged, no?

Was Hyperspace Assault a good pick? Overall I mean. 3 double-tapping B-wings are cool, but would you have been better served with 3, rather than 2, Nebulons firing long-range shots while the fleets approached?

HE LIVES! Which hopefully means we get an IFF episode soon. . .

B-Wings are great. You do have to play around with them but they do fantastic things!

No, not once unfortunately But Salvation went down pretty quickly.

Chir' didn't come in to play TOO much really, but it definitely helped vs B-Wings.

Always difficult to say, right? I mean it COULD have gone this way or it COULD have gone that way. But I'm not sure what other Yellow I would've preferred. If Sean hadn't been clever enough to ram himself to ensure a front arc in Yavaris' side it would've been a glorious victory for the nebulons :)

We were meant to record last night but had to cancel- trying to figure out when we can this week!

We've been too busy being hooked on the X-Wing cooperative campaign: http://www.wwpd.net/2015/09/heroes-of-aturi-cluster-introducing.html

Ok, thanks. Great ARR - not too long, not too short!

Because it is amazing :)

ah B-wings, once again proving that the "B" stands for "Best" :)

I'd highly recommend Garm, btw. He makes Nebs (the most unforgiving ships in the game) a lot easier to pilot with that first turn navigate (no need to take tokens because you're full up) and that emergency nav token.

Nice write up...interesting to see how 3 nebulons/heavy squadrons fared against an imperial bomber build. The imperial build was very close to the one I played recently against you (Steven) where you manhandled me with your 3 Whales. I feel right now the Imperial squadrons are OK but they dont really have the punch needed to do really well in games. I find they rarely do better than 5-5 to 7-3 wins.

I have been very pleased with mine now that I have figured out how to use them effectively.

Oh my god, that Red victory.

How did Corruptor die? The second the last reb ship died should have been game over.

Corruptor did not die, it had one health left.

Nice write-up, as always. Between this and the post on Italian nationals, it sounds like Bs + Yavaris + Hyperspace is probably not the greatest choice to make. :P

Looking forward to the next podcast! Though the X-wing campaign has been fun to monitor, too. :)
