Correlian Shuffle

By Tuck3r, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

So I'm trying out a Fleet build/Tactic for armada and I want some opinions before i take it into the Massing at Sullist release tourney at my local shop,

Fleet Comp is as Such

Nebulon B(escort) + Salvation + Garm bel Iblis= 89pts

Nebulon B(escort) + Yavaris + Weapons Liason= 65pts

Assault Frigate mk IIa + X17a Turbolasers = 87pts

Wedge Antilles + X-Wingx2 + B-Wing = 60pts

I'm using Wedge and the X-Wings because while a full 100 pts of squadrons seems like a silly idea there are some ppl who would try it (probably other rebels cause you know... the imps have ties) and they can provide a strong fighter screen while still being able to resolve crits against ships if given the chance, while the b wings bring a whole 2 dice against a ship which is as good as the side arcs on most rebel ships (till after Sullist)

The idea for the capital ships (if the imps fall for it) is to drive the deuce up the middle while the Nebulons shuffle along at a slower pace, hopefully drawing opponents to fire at the bigger target while i can get off max range concentrated volleys at the same target then with the next activation move the second Nebulon up next to the first protecting at least one side from incoming shots with the bulk of the other ship... Haven't had a chance to test this much but it worked against my cousin so... i dunno, Thoughts?

After doing some maths, i am tempted to drop the X17a turbolasers, that would allow me to replace the 3 X-Wings with 3 A-wings & an additional B-wing, giving me a stronger screen but less longevity in my fighters, it would also leave over the remaining 5 from the X17's for either an initiative bid or a Liaison on the Yavaris
