A few months ago, a Dacimator escorted by Fel or a Phantom was usually perceived as the Empires safest bet. After Wave 7 and the rise of TLTs, it seems to me this squad got hit pretty bad. In your opinion, what is the Empires most stable list right now.
I am inclined to bet on Vader or Fel leading 3 Tempests AC. As Sensor Jammer gets more useful and Rebel Captive gets less popular, a Phantom Based Squad as a second choice.
I wouldn't be too quick to discount the Ace-Ace-Palpatine squads. All of them have the speed to get inside TLT bubbles and the firepower to shred the Y-wings carrying them, and remain extremely strong against other list archetypes.
Soontiir, now Vader will always be good unless nerfs come. Lots of cheap ties. I expect to see extra munitions being used in imperial builds on cheap bombers or on named Punishers
3 tempests + Ace is a solid list. 2 ace + palp shuttle is also good, but less 'reliable' because you still lose if you make a mistake or two (even palp can only mitigate so much). I think swarms will rise again. Peopple are still figuring out the new TIE/fo. It just needs an ingenious player to come up with a list that makes best use out of one or more of the new pilots and wham! A new imperial netlist is born. I figure something like that will show up at Worlds...

Maybe not the best, but lots of dice, rerolls, blocking, swarming... That is as fun a list as I've ever flown, and I just won an 8 person tournament with it last week...
I usually drop to 4 APs to upgrade some pilots and go doom shuttle. Sprinkle in 2 FO and you already have something there.
I really prefer 6 TIEs... There is something awesome about watching 6 TIEs move around the table in 3x3 formation... I used to run Doom shuttle with 6 APs, but I like the Lambda more for blocking and area denial... Plus it can drop the occassional 4 reds on its own...
You can't have a real reliable list with anything these days. I think balanced lists are the way to go. TLT's are changing things and the big ship meta is as well. There are a lot of things in motion and I don't think there is anything anymore as a "reliable" list.
there is no such thing as "most reliable"
play what you enjoy, and that will be the list you will most reliably do well with (because you want to play the dang thing!)
as for me, I'm a huge fan of mini-swarms. With large ships finally taking a much needed m.o.v hit, I see minis coming back in a nice way. Obsidians and the new "named" FO pilots make for great PS increases to dodge predator and eviscerate tlts before they shoot

I think deci cannot be discarded so easy. if you boost into donut your fine, and thats not that hard to do,especially vs 2tlt not 4 of them. Soontir also gonna just say "AT now blow me"
