Autothruster: 2 vs 3 agility

By IG88E, in X-Wing

In light of the recent T-70 X-wing release:

Its the first time we have now Autothrusters on a 2 agility ship. So I assume AT will trigger more rarely because of it, is it still worth it? I would say yes absolutely. But what are the odds? Is there a big difference of AGI-2 vs AGI-3 autothrusters?

I think a T-70 with R2-D2 (or similar "health droid") would also benefit from an additional shield upgrade instead of the autothrusters.

PWT are seen more rarely, but TLT are in the upswing,

It's not that different. Green dice are what 3/8 blank?

With a focus token it's still 50/50 on each dice odds are you'll get a blank.

At range three you get to roll three dice and you'll almost certainly get a blank.

yeah, they're actually super good for poe, who can convert eyeballs or blanks as long as he has a focus token. i dont fly without it.

It is on poe

You are guaranteed one evade with his ability up (and his ability doesn't compromise his offense like spending focus normally would)

Yeah either you get a blank for AT or an eyeball which will stretch out those six hull a bit.

Autothrusters works very well when it procs the only thing is to make sure you are in situations when it procs. So range 3 and out of arc. If you get those At with 2 or 3 dice is going to be good, and you are going to negate a lot of shots. With 2 green dice it is very possible of rolling blanks and focus. With autothrusters and 2 dice it is a good probability rolling 1 blank and with a focus token or POE's ability getting that hard 2 damage negation is very likely. Not to mention you are not paying the points for the third green die.

The top of the meta often has 2 hard damage mitigation.
