I felt a great disturbance in the Meta, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror...

Dice rolling: The Game
I suppose I should jump in the fire proof bunker after saying this, but.....
I can't imagine anything more boring than flying 4 turrets and only having to decide which target to choose. It would be like flying a box of B-17s and just shooting anything that comes in range. Oooooh the thrill. ![]()
It was bound to happen.
The question is:
What are we all going to do about it?
I think I'm dusting off sensor jammer phantoms.
Remove that turret from the game please. Fast.
Or make it Unique.

See, this guy gets it. Something new comes along that can challenge the old guard? Great! After all the complaining about the previous top lists, you'd think people would be a little bit happier to have something shake things up. So instead of jumping on the forums to ***** and moan at FFG, go build some lists, do some testing, and report back when you've found the silver bullet to TLTs!!
Woohoo! I get it! What did I win, what did I win?!?!? Is it candy? A pony? Please let it be a pony!
What? More Xwing fun? EVEN better than a pony!
Make it unique or change TLT to be less of an no-brainer.

Or you know learn how to play against it and stop expecting the same lists to do as well in a new meta.
Boost ships w/ autothrusters.
The new T-70 can put a dam-dam on a TLT-wing, especially with Poe.
Personally I would never fly 4 TLTs but I flew two in a tournament yesterday and I found Miranda particularly hard to strip down. 8 damage a turn is pretty horrible but would Connor nets and ion bombs help? I'm pretty inexperienced but I imagine the 4 ys get flown quite close to cover the donut holes? I also took quite a while to land a hit on interceptors with auto thrusters and stealth devices.

TLT is honestly worse vs. any AT arc-dodger than PWTs ever were. Exploitable range issues, damage cap meaning you need at least 2 ships of firepower to take an eyeball/squint/etc, meh Y-Wing dials making out-of-arc easy to get...
LOL@the people claiming players from the finals table of a Nationals event need to learn to play better. Who are you?

But there is 4 of them instead of 1PWT. Thats a huge deal because they can just spread out a bit and cover a huge area (see replay of Polish nationals finals or this finals)
Edited by CelesOk, the 2-Ship-META seems to be over.

Play "better"? Probably more like adjust to the capabilities of a new force in the metagame. But yeah, just because a build wins one nationals does not mean the world is ending.

capped per-shot damage means a low-HP ship whiffing a roll is often not dead, where a PWT would shred it. With AT coming in on every shot with decent maneuvering, they take ages to kill no matter how many TLT shots you get.
I beat 4 TLT Y-wings yesterday in the final for a local store tourney with a 8 TIE swarm. I had one undamaged Academy Pilot left at the end. It was rough. I'm thinking i have to drop to 7 TIEs swapping the APs for Obsidians.

And your point is? Its 4 TLT vs 1PWT still, your argument makes no sense whatseoever.

I'm sorry, but what part of this are you not getting. A PWT that hits an arc-dodger can easily wipe it in a shot, either due to total damage or getting a decent crit.
8 PWT shots can easily fail to scratch an AT or AT+SD ship with a few tokens, and that's assuming the arc-dodger hasn't gotten into arcless r1 of at least one of them to quarter or halve the potential damage.

I have to wonder.

Or maybe you should stop lying aka generalizations that have nothing to do with actual probabilities?
A PWT with Gunner and Predator has a ~4% chance (~8% with focus) to get 1 hit through vs a ship with autothrusters, stealth device and focus+evade (not even focus focus evade like soontir). I would bet my money on the 8TLT shots any day.
Edited by CelesGuys, if anything this means the rise of Sensor Jammer IGs. They really don't have to fear much between 3 defense dice, ATs and a realistic maximum of 2 incoming damage per attack roll.
