Preparing for upcoming tournament! with Scum & Villain.

I had good seven hour session with eighth games yesterday and had chance to try out few lists against Empire and here is one list that did very well and I would like to get some comments from you guys about pros and cons! I will list more squads later on but here is the list that did best.

...I know it looks boring but I assure that it was quite fun to play and those ships are just neat looking for me!

Kihraxz

Total of 100p. 25 hit points and 15 attack.

This list felt simple and solid to fly, best flying at formation, but works well when scattered because of their good attack and pretty good maneuverability.

So hit me! :)

There's not much to say. Its a solid list, even though its considered a sub-optimal ship, but it can handle all sorts of lists decently.

5k turn and 1 hard turn give it the ability to get firing arcs in situations that other ships would be unable to so that is a definite plus. The ship is not super durable, and 4 hull makes it susceptible to crits, but having 5 of them means that doesn't matter (until the endgame anyway).

Some people like to drop 2 khiraxz in favour of the scyk /w mangler (also 20 pts). You keep them in the back to take advantage of the R3 and shoot last with them to hopefully get crits. The list loses durabiliity, however.

I tried this list in a friendly tournament and it was okay. Very fun to fly, I'm happy to have tried it, but I've seen more effective.

It is susceptible to luck. 2 Agi with 4H1S can do great, or fail miserably. In one game, I got 2 blown up in 1 shot by higher PS, so it was hard to come back after that. Overall it is okay and luck will balance, but there will be a game where they will fail you and it might cost you the game. They are also susceptible to arc dodger by moving at PS2 and no way to reposition, no room for error there, you need to be good at reading your opponent play.

I still favor BBBBZ, or even 3S1Z, but I will not dismiss it if I'm going against it: 5 ship with 3 attack dice will make you think twice about how to approach.

I love the Kihraxz, but I'll keep it as an escort; 2-3 in a list with 1-2 elite should be enough.

Lately I've been running 2 Khiraxz with 2 Mangler Scycks and Serissu and it's been surprisingly effective, and it looks really cool on the table to boot

Looks like a fun squad to fly. Have you tried BBBBZ? Which one is more fun?

I think I might try expeeimenting with 4 Black Sun Aces with Glitterstim. Knowing when to trigger the stim is tough, but I find it good for when you get outflanked after a K-turn. The extra PS should help you against low PS swarms and makes you immune to the second Predator reroll from enemies. But you lose a lot of firepower, so your list is probably better.
