Only in a Jurassic World.

Welcome to your first forum, m80...

Didn't we just have this conversation about Rexler doing the same to a decimator? Why aren't we crying about that right now?! Rexler can freaking one shot a decimator in that 1% chance that it just goes off right! 60 points, GONE, FOREVER.

Was it a decimator? I thought it was Han.

Pretty sure it was a decimator, to lazy to look it up though.

Well, a picture is worth a thousand words...

There is a 99% chance that the sky is falling, and a 100% chance I just made that number up.

ooh! ooh! Major Explosion --> Major Explosion --> Direct Hit!

one shot a (bro)bot with Blount and AHM! Who needs dice?!?

Bad damage rolls and bad damage flips go both ways, and basicaly sometimes your the windshield and sometimes your the bug. For me when the nearly impossable happens I just say well that was ment to be, nothing was stopping that lighting bolt.

Bad placement is bad. I'm still doing decent with my T-65's...

On my 50/50 shot to get dealt another crit,

*37.5% chance, crits don't trigger major explosion

Drawing a Major Explosion into a Direct Hit? I think you overestimate the chances.

We've analyzed their damage deck, sir, and there is a danger. Should I have your ship standing by?

Soontir with PTL, thrusters and a shield upgrade is also 36 points and would die in those circumstances too (one of the blank greens becomes an evade, bye bye shield, crit chain to boom). Seems pretty balanced.

I think you may be overexagerating the probability of this happening.

Counting the chance of getting a crit through, it's less than 1:1000.

Oh well that's fine. I was worried it might be a MILLION-to-one shot. Because everybody knows those happen nine times out of ten.

Maybe if you'd use a HWK primary? Rolling the die while hopping on one leg, blindfolded?

"I'm not a sky is falling type of person, but I am making a big deal out of something that has an almost nonexistent chance of happening."

Like, a 6% chance followed by a 37.5% chance, followed by a 21% chance and that AFTER you roll enough damage to get a crit past them and they completely blank their green dice. This is not nearly likely enough to say that it makes anything worse. It also effects ships other than the T-65, since this could theoretically kill anything that has 3 hull and two shields or less. It also works on Phantoms, Headhunters, Interceptors, TIE Fighters, TIE/FOs, A-Wings, TIE Advanceds, and probably something I forgot. Literally anything with five total health.

You forgot the Scum! Star Vipers, HWKs and K-Things.

not to be a prick, but that "standard" build seems downright awful

the noted fragility of the X makes r2d2 a bit of a non-starter on it. Even back when I ran wedge (the golden years of wave 4, when I was but a sweet summer child) all he had was predator.

Now, we have a new standard

ALL HAIL THE PELE DROID

How does his head stay on?

That intrigues me.

You don't need some extreme example to prove the T-65 is kinda crummy. It's been doing that by itself for years. In fact all you've really done is argue the case for Integrated Astromech, seeing as how it completely stops the Crit-Chain.

Magnets, certainly IRL, I think in-fiction too.

Yeah if that happens to you, you might have to adress an apology letter to Tzeench for not playing 40k anymore cos he effin' hates you, that's for sure!

If the Brobot still has shields, then this won't work. The critical damage from the explosion would be suffered on the shield, preventing further damage.

AHM = advanced homing missile. Deals a face up card if it hits, and Blount always hits.

OMG, that's three times more likely than successfully navigating an asteroid field!

Moral of the story, more Ties will be one shot by Major Explosion + Direct hit than I can likely stomach. Poor fresh-out-of-the-Academy Pilots!!
