So per the mission's rules, Han Solo can carry the security chip or whatever it is called to unlock the Falcon so he can GTFO. That's all fine and dandy - but I didn't see anything that allowed for Han to be able to perform an insight test, even though the mission's rules clearly state he can perform an insight test at the terminal.
How does he perform an insight test?? Did I miss something? Thankfully at least in our campaign it did not matter - I blasted Han into space dust ASAP, but I'd like to know for future reference.
Thanks!
Twin Shadows: First Mission. Han Solo Question
Elite Allies always have 1 success with tests.
Ah. Thought I was missing something. Thanks!
Do notice that Allies can not (by standard rules) voluntarily take attribute test. The mission rules in Hunted Down, as well as the R2-D2 card specifically override this rule. In this case, elite Allies (with a red card border) receive 1 automatic success like mentioned by Baer.

That's a little misleading. There is no rule explicitly stating that allies cannot take an attribute test. Each mission states who can take the attribute test. Generally the missions say something to the effect of "A hero can interact with a terminal ([technical] or [strength]) to disable it), but some missions it say "Rebel Figure" instead. The Official IA FAQ has some errata changing a few missions as well.
Like in "Celebrations", Chewabcca can interact with the wookie tokens due to the mission text.

I don't think it's misleading. Allies can not voluntarily take attribute tests. Mission rules and card rules might give them the ability so, but by standard rules they just can't. The fact that elite Allies receive one success on an attribute test doesn't change that.

Yeah. There are a few missions where allies can do attribute tests. But this is always specified in the mission rules. If it isn't in there, they can't.
****, I'll have to print that Errata and check up on it every time we play a mssion to see if anything is changed
