Nope, ffg doesnt hate us.

I agree fickle. It is not a cap killer. This is the baby piranha of the Imperial fleet

it'd be like the big baby piranha of the imperial fleet if your piranhas are tie bombers :P

or maybe it'd be like the whole shark & remora relationship. The raider is the little remora doing work for the big plodding star destroyers :)

or, when working with bombers, it's still the remora (only it's ******* huge in comparison)

I think the Shrimp is the barracuda

It's not a shrimp?

It's not a shrimp?

shrimp barracuda

though really, it's more of a boxing shrimp (yes, they're real and they're badass)

You wNt real badass shrimp? Learn about Mantis Shrimp.

These things can smash through glass fish tanks.

I really like how the raider moves.

Its like once you open the throttle, it just starts flyin'! (And becomes harder to maneuver)

I like the fact that Armada is not rushing through the waves like X-Wing is

SO. MUCH. LIKE!!!

I liked the game a lot, and my friends had fun playing it in our rotation of games, and they even funded it! But when we got in, and got playing, all we wanted to do was buy a Wave, play till we got bored of the mixes, then move on to the next wave.

For MONTHS we couldn't get a T/I or an A-Wing. Interest faded...and we eventually stopped playing. And that just absolutely turned us off from committing more money to it. None of us had the cash to just keep buying the waves that kept on a rollin' despite not being able to completely own one of each in Wave 2.

And wow rogues and villains must he AMAZING because of all this anti-squadron stuff we are getting this wave...

I think once all of Wave II is out we're going to see a huge change in the meta in regards to squadrons. I think there will be some sort of ability that prevents some of these squadrons to let themselves and/or other squadrons disengage if there is only one squadron within distance one, which would then make the raiders card make sense in regards to "as if there were two squadrons."

This will force people to bring more squadrons into the game to actually make a decent screen.

I can't see FFG gimping squadrons THIS bad with all of this awesome anti-squadron stuff we've seen in the three spoiled packs so far. They even pointed out in the article how important squadrons and bombers really are, so I think they are trying to break the meta of "NO SQUADRONS!" in Armada.

I hope this is true - I want to see squadrons used more often.

I've been playing at 400 since the beginning, and still say fighters are sub optimal. Really hoping for wave two to hopefully fix some of that.

It's hard tin against two vsds and three GSDs...which is what I fly at 400. Flew against a fairly experience guy with a good fighter screen...simply flew through the fighters and blew up the capital ships.

I really hope we get some cool upgrades to put on our ships that will boost the efficiency of fighters. I don't want to have to run the Falcon or Dash Rendar just to make my X Wings effective.

I wonder if that's because it has to do with something in wave 2 that they haven't previewed yet?

Doesn't sound that experienced if he let you do that. Sounds like his placement was off

Nothing to do with his placement. With five ships I can pretty much cover the whole board, it doesn't matter were you place your ships.

Seeing as I know the guy ( who has been playing war games for 15 years) and you don't, and I know you have some issues with your social skills, I'll ignore the condescending tone. But I will tell you that based on your batreps, and what you have posted of your strategy, I'm perfectly confident I could table you, in this wave, and if you're flying Rebs, in five turns flat.

No next wave is a totally different kettle of fish, and I do believe the moon cal ships are going to make a huge difference in the way the game plays, so after that hits, yeah, not confident of anything....lol.

If you're going to say someone else is condescending and lacks social skills, you may want to reevaluate your own post as well.
