You honestly think wave 8 will be out this year? Bump that to next year and offset everything accordingly, and then I think you'll be closer to reality. Although, I'm not sure every movie will warrant two full waves.

Not sure every movie gets a full wave. I would expect eu to live on there.

If expect ace releases at least for scum. Maybe a aces 2 for the others. At least one huge scum ship (Wilde karrde?)

The chances of more EU ships coming out are looking slim.

And who knows. Wave 8 might turn into all canon. Punishing One and Mist Hunter may get canonized by a video game, comic or anthology movie.

If you're playing Scum, the chances of EU ships being released is greatly increased over the other factions, especially the Rebels. Aside from say, the Pulsar Skate or the Lady Luck (which is really too big from all accounts), what were they gonna get? 101 X-wing variants? There's certainly plenty more cool pilots to put on existing ships, but the Rebs/NR didn't crank out variants like the Empire did or employ the sheer variety of ships that Scum did.

The films themselves are unlikely to sustain new ship releases for complete waves if what we've seen of VII is any indication. There's still probably gonna be one non-movie Scum ship in Wave 9, though there is a slim possibility that we'll get a Falcon reprint.

If anything it's Rebels that's going to potentially add the most new ships, but who knows? The game is a non-canon game and it's always been one, so FFG has a vast trove of weird and fun stuff to pull from for new goodies.

I think it is highly doubtful that Rogue One is going to provide two waves of material for X-Wing. In fact, based on what the writer and director have said and the time-frame (pre-ANH) it is doubtful to provide even one wave.

Everything being leaked about it is that it is a movie about Rebel ground forces/spec ops that steal the plans to the Death Star. It is pretty clearly not a Rogue Squadron movie.

Didn't FFG design the raider in conjunction with the mouse? I'm assuming Disney will want input in the designing any new ship and will have veto on the use of EU stuff. However with X-Wing growing and making money I can't see them crippling the game by limiting the number of new (to X-Wing) ships too much.
