What Languages Does FFG Support For X-Wing?

By Taylawlz, in X-Wing

I just recently discovered that The X-Wing line supports a variety of languages. I was wondering if there is a complete list of all languages that are supported?

Also if possible, could a North American (Canadian Retailer) get their hands on let's say a German Tie Fighter? I am very interested in bringing some text variety to some cards.

Thanks guys.

I don't know if there's an official list.

I would assume most major european languages.

I picked up a Tie fighter expansion when I was in Berlin because I wanted some cards in German. If I had access to buy more duplicate expansions in German I would.

No doubt you can order from the appropriate local retailers.

French, German, Polish, and Spanish that I know of.

But they're not directly supported by FFG, the international partners (Edge for France/Spain for exemple) are responsible for traducton/distribution.

This is great!

Really want to bring some card diversity.

I know that it was also available in Swedish for the original Core set and wave 1, in Sweden and Finland. The poor sales of them made them retry selling them in English, and those, for some reason, sold much better. No idea why.

Wave 1 exists in Swedish and Finnish.

I have cards in polish...

Heidelberger Spieleverlag publishes the german localization as liscencee

There is a Brazilian Portuguese translation too, by Galapagos Jogos.

Italian, too.

And we got our translated Raider & wave7 waaaay before the producer's original country :D

Galactic Basic, but there is a rebel version that support's wookiee and trandoshan.

XD, I would guess most languages.

They should make cards in aurebesh

I have to say, an Imperial Squadron in German sounds mildly tempting...

French, I know -- we have a French player who plays at our FLGS and he has some of his stuff in French.

I'd love to get some X-wing cards in different languages.

I'd totally be down with that. Unfortunately, Aurebesh alternate art LCG cards weren't very popular, so they nixed that idea. I bet this would be the same.

Core set, wave 1 and wave 2 published in Russian.
