Possible Maximum Effect Attack Strings

  • Cobra Clutch -> Cobra Twist -> Konvict Kick -> Double Face Kick (5/5/6/King F)
  • Konvict Kick -> Double Face Kick (Multiple) -> Yi Shan's Dragon Tail Leg Sweep -> Double Face Kick (4/5/6/King F)
  • You get the point.

PROTIPS

PROTIP1 : King's Form allows you to fetch any throw in the deck - use that to perform Combos.
PROTIPINFINITY : If all else fails, use foundation string + King F + Path of the Master.
PROTIP2 : King of the Ring can be used in conjunction with No Forgiveness! and Cobra Twist's Combo E to REALLY piss off your opponent.
PROTIP3 : Bloodline Rebellion can fetch Kicks, Throws and Uniques to find anything you may need to get some Combos going.
PROTIP4 : If you cannot kill your opponent, screw them up. Cobra Twist's combo works excellently for that, and it will net you some momentum for Double Face Kick.
PROTIP5 : Do not be afraid to nuke your staging area with Ymirfang to kill an opponent.

Time to explain my deck building process that I just came up with and am testing with this deck.

  1. Get an idea for a deck - Either through epiphany or research, doesn't matter.
  2. Build the deck as 60/64/68/whatever +1 - Pretty much put cards together and call it a deck.
  3. First test phase - Play the deck.
  4. Replace non-working cards, re-test - Yep.
  5. Remove excess cards from playsets in deck. Add others if less than 60 cards. - Yep.
  6. If additions work, congrats! You have a deck! If not, repeat step 4-5 as necessary.

Right now, I'm at Step 5 - I just recently removed 1 of PotM, Bloodline, KotR and Ymirfang and completed Step 4 by removing Rolling Sobats and replacing them with the only other Earth Kick in Block 4 right now, Yi Shan's Dragon Tail Leg Sweep.

Needs moar Close Throws! If anything just for the shear usefullness of it.

I thought about using them. Stun : 2 and a possible reduction in difficulty if one of my other throws is blocked? YES.

Still, I'm very much fond of Double Face Kick (which would be the throw it would replace - I'm not ready for a deck with 24 attacks yet, especially not a deck like this) and it's been my underrated MVP so far. Minimum 4 damage (if they block both throws) and is easily King F able (especially with Konvict Kick before it, that thing is just not right IMO). It's even worse with PotM because you PotM E on the Multiple copy.

Plus, Close Throw doesn't trigger combos (whereas Double Face Kick triggers Cobra Twist) and it's the theme of the deck somewhat... it's the top card I'm replacing something with if it ever comes to this, however.

But you want to know what this deck needs moar? Paid to Protect and Killer Android (to protect PotM and Ymirfang and lolKazuya). I've zero PtPs and 2 KAs.

Most epic attack string on this deck, btw :

Cobra Clutch (Ymirfang + Brooding) -> Cobra Twist (Ymirfang + Brooding) -> Konvict Kick (Ymirfang + Brooding + Bloodline Rebellion) -> Double Face Kick (Ymirfang) -> Double Face Kick (Multiple Copy - Ymirfang + Path of the Master)

Want to know what they call her Astrid?

'CAUSE SHE TOOK IT IN THE AS(S).

In his binder. Its not good. Not near enough targets to justify a main deck inclusion in the current meta. In addition, destroying your own foundations in such a foundation light deck that supports stand off can really set you behind in a lot of matchups especially against cursed blood and knight breaker. I run foundations that destroy themselves in my build but they are game breaking cards like undisputed ruler and bloodline rebellion. It's neat sideboard tech against stuff like need to destroy and such but i can see where hatman is not justified in including.

Good build hatman. I'm not a huge fan of your counts (i HATE 20 attacks in king) but i love your approach to building. Very similar to my group and I use for developing stuff to test.

Double face kick, while very good, scares the crap out of me for the same reason Flinging Half does. I HATE 2 checks. I want to be able to have turn 1's that include Bloodline Rebellion, POTM and other 2 diffs after my initial play. I feel that hitting that 2 on a crucial build can seal your fate in that matchup or cause you to hold back a king activation on 2.

Honestly I'd the Yi Shan's to bring it down to 16 but I'm not there yet in my process. 12 Throws that all combo with each other.

So far, it's been my MVP, but the 2 check is a heavy mark against it, which is why I said it's the first card to go if I ever replace it.
