Finally, after seeing so many posts about people calling FFG and asking to buy bases, FFG gives us not only clear bases, but colored bases too! So quick question ... which colors will be the favorite?

I'm actually happier about this news than anyone would think...

Me too ... so why can't it be now? Why do we have to wait till Q4?

I actually quite like the look of the orange, especially since I play scum most often, goes with their base colour and general aesthetic. Red is of course a given too.

Eases up on my wallet... Just got a raider and wave 7, ordered a frigate, full stormtrooper suit for Halcon... oh and two TFA core sets.

Having spare bases means I can base my custom ships too, which is awesome.

I use blue for almost everything in my life, but I'm a little worried that's going to be an overly popular color. Orange for Scum is definitely nice, though, since it matches with their faction symbol and base tokens' color scheme.

The lack of an Imperial black or grey option is disappointing.

Honestly, I'm more surprised they went with providing colored bases for all the 'small' ships before we saw any ability to buy 'huge' bases as spare parts.

I mean, given how many ships (IE., pretty much all of the 'large' bases at the moment) benefit a great deal from the larger and sturdier stands...

i'd like to see FFG release mixed asteroid and debris tokens. For the really big games :-)

No, 'huge', as in 'epic'-scale. You've seen folks flying Falcons and Decimators around on the Transport/Tantive/Raider bases, right? Looks very cool, keeps the mini out of the way, and is vastly less 'wobbly'.

Players have been asking FFG for colored bases since they got produced for Attack Wing. They have been asking for the ability to purchase replacement pegs for even longer.

Well there must have been or they wouldnt release them...but Ill sit this one out. Got ships I would rather spend my money on.

Unless they made hot pink stands...I would use those.

who demanded this?? I demand plastic tokens or more of them to match the ones i have won in various tournaments! Rainbow bases kind of kills the realism for me... Black would be cool...

I think this is pretty salient evidence that our voices are heard, when we make our desires known (and they're not something that's a VERY subjective opinion about how the rules SHOULD work or something along those lines). This is a perfect way to get more of my money and have me be stoked about it, so way to go FFG! I freaking love this game!

Yeah, obviously spending another ~$8 on a can of spray paint and ~$8 on a can of sealer and the going through the trouble of masking all the areas where tokens need to fit is a perfect analog for just buying a plastic base that's already black.

I like the bases, but the connectors seems a little off-game. Colored bases with clear connectors for me.

The coloured bases look really cool, but I'm less of a fan of the coloured pegs. Gives some really good options though!

Oooh, I like these. I kinda wish the green was a more vibrant shade (Like the same color as Imperial turbolasers) but the red is really eye-catching.

The pegs are easy to break or lose though, so being able to buy a bunch of replacements (And some snazzy base colors) is great.

Been there for a year. The STAW bases work great for X-Wing... and they also have BLACK.

It is cute to see FFG do this finally... not that I will buy them, because I already have mine. STAW does not come in clear because these ships already come with clear bases.

Same price and no silly teats... I love 'em!

Was there a news article about this that got pulled? I can see it on the X-Wing page under accessories, but no write-up.

That said, I'll buy a bunch of these. Rebel Red, Imperial Green, and Scum Orange.

Maybe special blue and purple for the really cool Rebel and Imperial guys. Palpatine's ship totally gets a purple base.
