Yeah I like them. Totally optional and just something to make your stuff look different and help you identify ships in-game.

I'll grab a red pack and a blue pack for sure. Just for tourney use. I never take more than 2 big ships or 5/6 small ships to an event so two bags worth is perfect for me.

At least they did make clear. That way we can get replacements without begging them.

I paint my bases and pegs black with white stars so for me these are meh. But I can see my daughter wanting some for her Rebel ships.

The cynical side of me wonders if this is why all the recent ship releases have had such incredibly poor grip between the ship mini and its base...to make people want to buy replacement bases!

I would have thought they would at least put out black. C'mon. Black Squadron anyone?

Hopefully this doesn't mean we won't be allowed to paint our bases (for tourneys, of course).

I guess I wouldn't mind red bases. But the sticks I'd only want clear or black... Otherwise it just looks odd to me. Doesn't look like a ship in space and instead looks like a ship on a colored stick.

IDK except for aforementioned black and grey the colerd ones look a bit cartoonish and take away some of the realism for me.

The purple is kind of nice, but I was hoping for black. And yeah, it's easy enough to paint your own. But, it's also nice to have an Official replacement option.

Now...hopefully a Huge set will come soon? My Decimator never stays on the peg, but when I want to fly my Raider AND the Deci....what do I do, FFG? What do I do?!

Now plastic range rulers and templates/tokens I am all over that..

Bases look decent. I would not use the colored pegs at all...seems really silly unless you were painting your ships to 'go with' them.

I think I still prefer painting just the underside of the clear bases, although it is a bit more work.

After 2 years they finally do this less than a month after I finally got around to painting my bases?

No huge ship base packs it would seem though.

So with FFG releasing colored bases and pegs, does this mean new damage deck sold seperately as well could be in our future?

Looks like they included 3 of the large ship pegs. I am surprised they chose purple and orange over a smoked option though.
