FAQ 3.2.1 is up

By Bjorn Rockfist, in X-Wing

You can now preform "Free Actions" on an asteroid

That's going to matter....pretty rarely, isn't it? I guess if someone hands Jake a focus token, he can immediately barrel roll off the rock he was on and end up getting his shot after all, but otherwise...

Am I remembering this way wrong? I thought you could always do free actions off obstacles. I thought all obstacles did was make you skip your perform action step.

This may be exhaustion and beer talking...

It was briefly changed in this latest FAQ, but has now been fixed.

I'm getting whiplash.

I hope these last few weeks are peak "what-are-the-rules-today?"

You're not the only one getting whiplash.

I like to imagine that every time one of these things comes out, there's a group of people that completely reevaluate the meta and immediately go out and by a bunch of new ships and cards.

And that that group of people wasted a bunch of money yesterday.

These things... You mean FAQs or articles?

That moment where the new rule book in your new core set is immediately obsolete before you even receive it.

Meanwhile proofreaders on Alderan...

Sheesh guys, lighten up. The last FAQ was 3.1 and 3.1.1 followed very shortly after. It's not like this is the first time around.

Anyone note that they are providing a new damage deck to all attendees at Worlds this year?

These things... You mean FAQs or articles?

Well, I meant the FAQs, but I guess the articles apply too.

As someone who's ship buying criteria has nothing to do with how a ship plays competitively. It always amuses me when people who do buy ships for that reason end up wasting their money.

Delicious schadenfreude.

Hmm yeah. It does say card effects or abilities when talking about increasing or reducing agility. I wonder if they intentionally left out obstacles and range bonus to agility, but what about tactical jammer or EM emitter? Both are cards that add agility dice but through the obstruction game mechanic.

There are no "agility dice." There are agility value and defense dice. Obstructions and range bonuses add defense dice. Your agility value is unchanged, except for effects like R2-F2 or the Structural Damage crit.

Edit: teh grammars

Yeah you're right. Those cards add dice (through the obstruction rule) not increase agility. So I guess that clears it up.

Exactly

Wedge and Outmaneuver explicitely reduce agility, not your defence dice pool. Theoretically, a difference upgrade might specify 'defence dice', which would affect such bonuses.
