Comparing some new Lists of mine

By Cuthawolf, in Star Wars: Armada

Hey all,

So I tried out my first Zero Fighters list today and tabled my opponent. Now in fairness to him he and I have played together a LOT and so I tried to think completely differently from how I normally play, which is to avoid ship death like the plague. I balk at losing even a Corvette, and I'm not good at "trading up" by sacrificing a cheaper ship to sink a larger one. Anyway, this was the list I played:

AF2A - Mon Mothma, Enhanced Armament, Electronic Countermeasures

Neb-B Support Refit - Salvation, XX9 Turbolasers (My dice luck is DREK on anything but the AF2A so I find I never roll high enough for X-17 to make a difference)

CR-90A - Electronic Countermeasures, Jaina's Light

CR-90B - Dodonna's Pride, Leading Shots, Electronic Countermeasures

During the engagement I lost the Salvation (it was the decoy in my attempt to trade up) in part due to a sustained barrage from Major Rhymer, 2 TIE Bombers and Darth Vader. I would have lost it even sooner had the dice gods not spit all over my poor opponent. So I was thinking about trading out one of the Corvettes for some fighter cover. Either a host of A-Wings or maybe a trio of X-wings.

What do you guys think? Would you bother with fighters? Would you make any other changes? Not looking for hardcore "This is obviously better!" stuff, just general thoughts really.

I have a similar list:

Afmk2 b

2 neb support refits

Cr90 a

Tycho

I find that this list works pretty well. I use tycho to lock down bombers. If he survives a round of anti squadron fire I send him out for a turn, then back in to lock down bombers.

I like to use the 2 nebs at speed 1 right next to each other. I'll have xi7 on one and h9 on the other.
