no you are allowed to paint your minis. I painted all of my stands black and used an old toothbrush to flick white paint at them to add stars.

I do the same thing. I also add some blue spatter before the white, they end up looking pretty good.

It is really simple to do. All you need is black spray paint and a bottle of white paint.

Got the template in hand with the 3 finger dangle in the back. We are dealing with some pro finger exploitation here.

He's probably just checking to see if his TIEs are within target lock range. If his TIEs can't target lock he doesn't have to commit.
