FFG, why did you need to nerf FEL? I am OUTRAGED.

By PhantomFO, in X-Wing

He's been struggling for years to get on the tables. Autothrusters seemed like it was going to give him a break, but now you had to yank it away again:

"If Fel's Wrath has used his ability and destroys the last enemy ship, the match ends in a draw as 'winning the game' is checked at the end of the round."

So much for the Fel's Wrath meta while it lasted. :(

EDIT: apparently the name to a major motion picture directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Brad Pitt ran against the forum's profanity filter.

What kind of cruel god clarifies a rule to be logical and stop a loophole from being exploited?
WHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?????????

:P

I suspect he was an incidental casualty of creating rules for docked ships like the Phantom and Nashtah Pup.

wait there was a Fel's Wrath meta?

There really wasn't. ^_^

I thought it is about Soontir FEL :)

I thought it is about Soontir FEL :)

Are you implying that my thread title may have been some sort of misdirecting clickbait, designed to make people think there was a nerf to Imperial Ace Soontir Fel instead of his less-skilled impersonator?

How DARE you, sir?

Me too ... clickbait ...

PHANTOM IS IN NO WAY CLICKBAITING AS HARD AS JBR7... SO LEAVE BRITTNEY PHANTOM ALONE

So if Fel's kills the last enemy ship, the match is a draw?

What if you have other ships still alive?!

"Sorry Soontir. Your wingman shot up the last enemy before he exploded. You get a tie."

I hope this is sarcasm and doesnt illicit the need for a clarification of the FAQ!!!

Oh jeez. Now we move from opponents trying to keep their injured large ships alive to keep full points, to opponents trying to make sure their last ship is killed by Fel's Wrath so they can at least scrape out a draw.

Wait, you'd fly Fel's Wrath with Soontir?

My competitive vs casual sensors are confused. :P

If Fel’s Wrath has used his ability and destroys

the last enemy ship, the match ends in a draw

as “winning the game” is checked at the end of the round.

Oh gee!!! We all "know" what they meant, but they sure didnt write it correctly!

They need to add, "and there are no other friendly ships on the board,"

Doug Kinney flew fels wrath at the greenfield wi regional

Wait, you'd fly Fel's Wrath with Soontir?

It was a random example. I have no idea who people would fly with Fel's Wrath.

It's fine, I was being humorous. :)
