Well they just posted an article about how the new edition of the Game of Thrones card game is being delayed by production issues, so at least we aren't the only ones dealing with it.

There will always be the hurt who were relying on chancy rules definitions to game the system.

With Game of Thrones, delays are a way of being true to the books, and not bending to that demanding HBO timetable!

I wonder what would happen if out ships were worth half points if they had under half their hull remaining?

I thought the melt-down would have to have been that the change in damage decks would have been the cause of the melt-down.

A few do seem to be melting about the damage decks. But I have to imagine 98% of tournament players buy at least one of everything that comes out anyway so no big deal if you've already bought into the new core set.

Even as someone who's buying the new core set, I can see the issue in invalidating players' old damage decks and forcing them to buy entirely new core sets if they want to continue to compete in tournaments. You have to admit that it appears to be a bit of a **** move on FFG's part when they could have just sold the new deck separately like they do with the dice and maneuver tools.

The fact that the article basically boils down to "We'd like to stress that we're not invalidating your old core sets... we're just invalidating your old core sets" is where the biggest problem that I'm seeing lays*.

* OK, the 2nd biggest problem. The biggest problem is that the article isn't the Armada article. Get it together FFG! >.<

Which I don't think will happen, given that the "problems" with the First X-Wing Deck are, on parrallel, non-existent with the Armada Deck.

The Armada Deck Learned from the Design Mistakes, I firmly believe.

On the flip side, the IA stormtrooper pack has some nice upgrades for IPs...
