As this is the first 2 green ship that can take autothrusters are they worth it?

I know normally autos>stealth but that was then we talked about 3green ships and that changes the perspective.

My tests, 10 rolls on official app: (E)vade,(F)ocus,(B)lank

As you can see with 1 less dice autothrusters fire 20% less times(autos firing marked with bold)

But both setups archieve 80% of at least 2 evades, as marked with arrows. (poe! remember its poe).

Now we of course assume poe is always at autos range, and considering he may not be i have to lend towards stealth device on him...

What are your opinions here?

I came in to see math, I'm disappointed.

As always, stealth device being worth it is an *extremely* long discussion featuring who attacks you, how many rounds will it survive, and how ****ed you are when your stealth device pops. My gut feeling is that Poe with focus token and Autothrusters should be really good, one focus and blank turn into evades each time you're attacked.

Report back when you get to 10,000 rolls. C'mon man 10 rolls is your sample size.

It really depends on the scenario as chiligan said but:

I can tell you that :

2 green dices : odds of rolling at least a blank are 1-(5/8)^2 = 61%

3 green dices : odds of rolling at least a blank are 1-(5/8)^3 = 76%

Next I can tell you that your odds of rolling something useful with the extra dice from stealth device are:

62.5% if you have a focus

37.5% if you don"t

This tells you that if you are in a position to activate autothrusters they are better than stealth if you do not have a defensive focus by a large margin and only very slightly worse if you have.

Since you're very likely to loose the stealth fast on a 2 AGI ship without access to the evade+focus combo, I'd say you're much better off with AT.

Poe takes hits and regenerates shields, stealth device will pop early and be a point sink.
