Rion wipes the spittle from his face. "So, who's the aged gentleman in the diplomatic robes we just encountered in the maglev? He seems rather agitated."
The Oncoming Storm IIC
Ashrym nods at what Rion asks, "Yeah."
He then asks, "Sir, if you could identify that fellow and send that information with the other files, that would be great. Or, if you're not able to, basic info on all of the passengers could set us up for Teenine to run the analysis for identification since he was with us at the time."
He then adds, "As for the three days, they sound fabulous."
"As I've mentioned," he responds, "I'll have my yeoman forward the ship's passenger manifest to the terminals in your quarters along with details on our destination and schematics for the Rendili Star. However I would advise you not to worry. You've done a lot for the Republic in the past few days, and you'll find that this is no ordinary cruiser."
Marcelus nods and says, "Thank you for your help, Captain. May I ask one last favour of you? One of my squadmates, Mr. Dag DiBrimi, was separated from us when the Hutts caught us. We have not heard from him since. Is there any information available about his whereabouts? Did the Republic manage to retrieve him or is he still at the Hutts' mercy?"
"TeeNine will take a hard copy of the data. If capured, TeeNine Emfor is equipped with high power data purging grenades. All data = wiped." The droid chirps enthusiastically. Deep down, however, he is a little frustrated at his own inability to crack the decryption.
"Well that's good to hear. Given the lengths the Empire has already gone to to retrieve this data, I can only imagine what we'll find when we unlock it," Kozik considers Marcelus' question for a moment. "I'm afraid we've received no word of him. If the details of the deal our lawyers worked out with the Empire are anything to go by, he's probably in the depths of the Hutt prison system by now. Recovering him is possible - likely even - but we'd need to expend substantial financial and political resources to extract him that we simply lack at the moment. But when the time is right he'll be back with you. Now if that is everything, I'll have my steward escort you to your quarters."
Rast went with the steward and (I presume) the rest of his squadmates to the quarters, and immediately went in for a sanisteam.
Following the steward, Marcelus asks him, "Excuse me, is there a medical facility on this ship by any chance? I've obtained a few bruises during some rather fierce discussions with Imperials. It's nothing too serious, but it'd probably be for the best if someone could examine them."
"Of course. There's a turbolift down at the end of the hall. Go down to deck 4 and follow the green arrows, they should be able to patch you up."
After the sanisteam, Rast put on some clean clothes and got to work on the room's computer terminal, examining the data that the captain had sent to them.
Marcelus thanks the steward kindly and follows the green arrows towards the ship's medbay.
After a short walk along several corridors, he reaches the medbay's doors. Marcelus opens them and strides towards the front desk.
"Excuse me? I have just arrived on this ship. Unfortunately I was a participant of a firefight while serving the Republic's noble cause during my last mission. Could someone perform a quick check-up, please? I don't think that I've obtained a serious injury, but it's probably best to check and make sure, isn't it?"
Logging on to the terminal, Rast soon locates the relevant files in his personal message terminal. In addition to the passenger manifest, he also finds technical readouts for the Rendili Star and a planetary dossier for Ord Hekate.

Background: Ord Hekate was once one of the Republic’s main ordnance depots in the Mid Rim, hence the affixation of the ‘Ord’ designation to its name. An already arid world, due to its close proximity to the star Solon, the many factories and depots that covered its surface only contributed to this. However after the Great Hyperspace War it was realised that these depots were too centralised and thus if anything weakened the areas they were supposed to protect. The resources were removed, and though the academies – mostly used for training in desert warfare and for officer cadets in armoured units – remained, they were vastly cut down.
However the onset of the Sith invasion has given a new lease of life to this world. Its orbit is ringed with shipyards, its surface now covered in new fortifications and fortresses all designed to bleed invaders to the bone before they can take it. Powerful ray shields protect cities built into calderas or craters in the desert, while mountainside citadels are shielded beneath tens of metres of rock. Furthermore there is a substantial garrison capable of being deployed anywhere in the sector in short order by the equally powerful fleet in orbit. Most intelligence analysts predict that while the cost of taking Ord Hekate would be great, the cost of ignoring it and leaving a powerful strongpoint in the rear of any advance would be far greater.

Meanwhile Marcelus' arrival in the medbay soon sees him seated on a long reclining medical bed while a pretty nurse scans him and giggles as he regales her with tales of derring-do.
"Well lieutenant," she tells him. "The good news is that you've already healed some of your wounds while in the prison. As I tell all my patients, natural rest is the best cure. However I can attempt to patch up your remaining wounds as well, if you'll give me a few minutes."
Medicine check: 1eP+1eA+1eB+1eD 0 successes, 1 advantage

The nurse tuts worriedly, then puts on a smile. "I'm afraid there were a few difficulties in treating your wounds. However like I say the best cure is natural rest - or a stimulant pack!" she jabs the hypodermic injector into Marcelus' neck, causing him to wince in surprise. "Your remaining wounds should have coagulated just about - now!" she smiles. "You should see major improvement in four to six hours. If further skin grafts are needed, just contact a surgeon. Stay safe!" she grins at him.
Edited by ColonelCommissarMarcelus sits up and rubs his neck. "Thank you for your help. Our destination is Ord Hekate apparently. Would you recommend any particular vaccinations in case I go planetside?"
"Hmm," she considers for a moment. "I'll have to look that up at a terminal," she moves down to the far end of the ward, then returns. "There isn't much to worry about, though you might want an anti-rad shot if you want to leave any of the shielded areas, and you'll certainly want a respirator outside of them or you'll be - well, the appended notes referring to what happens to subjects' lungs were a little graphic for my taste."
Making his way around the ship, Jeren finally finds himself to the medbay.
"Marcelus," he says simply as a way of greeting the other man. "I see you came for a little patching up. Nothing too serious, I trust?"
The Jedi is more accustomed to the company of datacrons rather than people. And what people he has found himself around were more often than not others of his Order. Still, if he is to accompany these men, he may as well get to know them.
Ashrym pulls a chair over towards Rast, but not so close so as to be looming over the man's shoulder.
"Anything interesting?" he inquires, seeing the screens of data streaming past as Rast makes quick work of the sent data files.
"See for yourself," Rast said, getting up from the terminal. "I wonder about this Noll character—wearing a pressure suit. You ever heard anything about project visage?"
"Other than that, I don't see anything that's an immediate cause for concern other than the band's security."
TeeNine roles down a hall and leans slightly into the medbay taking note of his recovering companions.
"Excuse me, @nurse." He beeps nervously in binary, "TeeNine's circuits are fried, where is the location of a maintenance area?"
"Ah, you'll want to head down to the engineering deck. That's two decks down, near the base of the hull. Forward from the engineering room there's a droid repair centre that should have everything you need."
Ash shakes his head. "No, I've never heard of a Project: Visage. As for the pressure suit, I'm sure there's a rational explanation. Perhaps he's astrophobic and it's a coping mechanism, or he needs the life support systems onboard?"
Edited by ColonelCommissar"Maybe. Let's see what we can find out, shall we? We can take a stroll, meet some people...let Marcelus do the talking, of course...and see if we can't discover more about our friends onboard."
"That seems like a sensible suggestion, we can get a better grounding onboard. But first I should probably check my messages," Ash sits down by the terminal, logging in with his military ID and scanning through his inbox. "Huh, there's one from the Captain. Apparently we've been invited to join him and the senior staff for dinner this evening," he turns to Rast. "Very nice eh?"
"Don't worry, Marcelus probably has spare uniforms for all of us. We should probably go and see where he's got to actually, he must be done in the medbay by now."
Rolling down to the engineering deck, TeeNine approaches the droid repair center and communicates to whomever looks to be in charge.
"TeeNine EmFour, requesting standard post-operation maintenance. Damaged systems log: Loose plating joints, fried astrogation buffer, numerous dents and scratches, extensive carbon scoring, strained motivator."
Edited by Revanchist7A Mon Calamari mechanic, one eye covered in a series of progressively smaller lenses, approaches TeeNine. "Alright unit..." he checks the registry below the droid's cranial unit. "TeeNine-EmFor - is that correct? Let's have a look at you," he inspects the droid's faults. "Hmm...self-repair systems seem to have done some of the work already. I can perform some further repairs, and if that's not so productive we've got some emergency repair kits in the back as well if needed."
Mechanics check: 1eP+1eA+1eB+2eD 2 failures, 3 advantage

"Hmm...these are some fairly major technical faults. I'm surprised there's any functional hardware left in you at all," the mechanic has re-activated TeeNine to give him the diagnosis. "I can give you an emergency repair patch to follow up on your self-repair systems, but I think the best treatment would be a few hours in an oil bath."
TeeNine's wounds are repaired. He's used one repair patch and spent four hours in an oil bath to completely heal up.
