First, members could change their title (where it says "Member" above your pic) at 1,000 posts. Ad as I hit 980, the feature was taken from us.

Then, they gave us the repaints subforum. And out of nowhere, it disappeared.

Also, they beloved avatar section was cruelly stripped away, leaving those of us with avatars from the olden times to cling desperately to them, or to lose them forever.

I don't really understand it, they are allowed to have avatars from all sorts of other games. But not images of starships from the X wing game, it just doesn't make sense. Its also very disappointing. Honestly i'm irritated I can't upload my own avatar as it is, its like we can't have our own identity on here. And they probably want to keep it that way, so if any of us disappear...well hopefully no one will notice.

I'm of a like opinion OP, I could have taken a pilot picture but it just wasn't quite enough... Order 66 for me. Frankly a Star Destroyer chasing the Tantive IV would be great. That or the Deathstar lighting up Alderaan. Anything where a substantial to grave loss of Rebel life occurs sits fine with me.

When I joined up I was puzzled as to why there was a restricted avatar selection and no option to upload your own image. Then I noticed all these other avatars that weren't in the selection and wondered if there was some sort of tier system to gain access to other images or eventually upload your own. Not that I mind 3PO but the selection was pretty slim...

Even with the old section available the picking was slim, I really dislike the confusion it engenders as you identify people primarily by avatar at a glance.

I remember choosing the Stormtrooper as people already chose TIE Pilots, and I was the only stormtrooper on the X-wing board.

Ah well, ordered a set of Stormtrooper Battle armour for Halcon as my TIE suit will be delayed, so it's all good.

I specifically chose a non-SW avatar because I'm a Rebel. There are only so many SW avatars to go around, with many repeating.

I still wish the Prophets of the Dark Side symbol was an avatar.

I just dont understand why we cant upload our own photos like most other forums. If they are worried about offensive material, the easiest way to get arround that is have a probationary period everytime you change your avatar so a FFG mod can see if your avatar is SFW.
