Well, to be honest your post makes no sense!
If you fly Imperial, You don’t get to choose your spacecraft you fly! You are told which spacecraft you will fly. You will most likely start with a Tie Fighter, where casualties are very high. Only if you “Survive” several campaigns will you be assigned a more advance aircraft.
This also hold true with the Rebel. Pilots are assigned spacecraft that is available at the time, you don’t get to choose the one you fly. Here again casualties are high.
So why are you smiling. Most of your friends are dead, and you most likely are next!
The only group that gets to truly choose their spacecraft are wealthy Scum. All other scum pilots fly what the “Boss” tells them. Period!
And if “I” get to choose what spacecraft I fly, I choose a Shadow Vessel!! There’s isn’t a ship in the Star Wars Universe that can compare to it!!!!

VCX or YT-series, crewed by self-repairing droids. Outside this game I would opt for a Fury-class "interceptor" or Dynamic-class freighter (Ebon Hawk), again with droids.

The ideal would be the ability to more or less go anywhere and be alone without the need for any external support or infrastructure (except resupply).

Please Shadow ships are easy to deal with if they are alone in most Scifi settings. All you need to do in Star Wars is retrofit a couple of SPHA Turbolaser beam cannons onto a ship and you're set because pretty much any beam weapon can paralyze a Shadow capship so you use the beams to stun the Battlecrab and pin it in place then use the rest of your weapons to pound it until it dies.

You actually see lone beam weapons from standard, non-Minbari, non-Vorlon upgraded, Drazi ships the size of a large Corvette in Star Wars paralyzing Shadow ships that are somewhere between being around 5 times their size and being around 15 times their size in the B5 canon. (Shadow capships generally come in three rough sizes around 1000 meters long, around 1,500 meters long which is the most common, and around 3,000 meters long. The ships doing the paralyzing in the case I'm citing were 197 meters long.)

oh take this shadow ship pudu out of a star wars thread

it's worse than a warhammer fan interjecting with "WH40K WINS" in any sci-fi debate

Yt-2000, clearly. It has some leg room, you can work for whomever you want, and you'll never be mistaken for the millennium falcon or the outrider.

Oh, and the cockpit is in the middle, which makes more sense then hanging off to the side.

I would fly my all time true love...

The AIAT/i from KDY

Greetings

Nerd..... Actually I prefer to be called a Hacker! :-) “Star Wars” happens in a galaxy far far away. There are more galaxies in the Universe than there is sand particle on earth. So it's just a matter of time before the Shadows take over the Star Wars Galaxy.

Thank You!!!, I have waited a very long time for some one to have a little fun, and not take Star Wars to seriously. After all the Star Wars story is for the child in all of us.

HWK-290

It is that happy compromise between the big YT freighters and starfighters. Can pilot it alone or with a copilot. Got plenty of cargo space to make it a flying home, forget passengers. Hasn't got an impressive primary weapon, but an Ion Turret will do. For self-defense.

Just got the miniature today and the photographs don't do it justice. It's an awesome little ship.

I'm surprised nobody has said the T-70 X-Wing. It's a beautiful update of the classic with more power and better shields. Sign my up today!

I think many of us are thinking that a ship you can kind of live in too, is a good choice.

I love the new (Original) T-70 X-Wing.

I'd have an old BTL-B Republic Y-Wing - then I'd take the hull plating off it cos you gotta love a Streetfighter :)

The GR-75 campaign features a scenario where fire is being flung from 2 table edges - simulating the besieging Star Destroyers and echo base firing on each other.

Among the Besieging Star Destroyers is The Executor Class Star Dreadnought Executor.

Ergo the Executor is in the game.

Ergo I pick the Super Star Destroyer.

The Suncrusher is the only correct answer here...

while i think this thread should be in 'off topic' its a cool idea so....

Fighter: Tie Interceptor every time, love the look and i've got the flight kit anyway :)

Something i'd live in and travel the galaxy?: Decimator... just imagine the views you'd get travelling space with that huge domed bridge! :)

Don't forget the lounge with the TIE fighter-like window.

Figuratively yeah but literally it means 'to remove 10 per cent'

I'll grant you in real war 20 per cent casulties are 'high' and enough to make most forces disengage or choose a new route of attack , and i our games we play til 'every ones dead' so realism isnt really in the offing given xwing has no morale system

I just think it was a poorly chosen name, i get that these days it means 'to do a lot of damage' but i've had an imperial roman ancients army for years so i always see the word in its real meaning.

It was a horrific punishment because the guys from your maniple/cohort/century/conturburnium had to carry out the punishment rather than the fact it was a lot of deaths.

On an aside, it alway irked me that a 'century' was actually around 80 men not 100....

Didn't the century include 20 support personnel, as well?

It irks me that the church tower in Warwick has a 4 rendered as IIII not IV.

But yeah, I knew the above - but good expo to those that didn't, I should probably have explaiend that out. History is awesome.

God I am really excited for my NEB-B now. Totes going to bring that to any Epic games held in the HRM (Halifax / Dartmouth) that I get invited to.

Already been mentioned, but the Romans didn't have set rules for denoting numbers.

But the agressor has no life support apart from the prisoner compartments iirc, good if you're a droid, not so much for us mortals :)

As I recall, IG-88 stripped the life support out of the IG-2000.

I did.

And I didn't.

I would want a Jedi Star Fighter or an A Wing. I've always had a thing for small fast ships.
