Honestly, the Y-Wing. Why? because not only is it heavily shielded, but it has an automated turret, an astormech, and it looks effing cool.
YOUR Ship IN STAR WARS... for real.
Gotta be the defender. I've loved it since I first flew it in the old tie fighter games. Quad cannons, Ion cannons, missiles, shields, hyperdrive and it looks so **** sweet.
So far most of yahs get:
that pressure, though

gotta keep subjugating rebel scum, scanning the horizon for loose A-wings...
When you're in the Eclipse, there's no pressure, nobody tells you what to do.
Id have to go with the Vaksai star wars galaxies ship.
Fun times but if were talking something a bit bigger then a starfighter
Ever since Jedi I have been a fan of the B-wing. I've basically been neck deep in anything featuring it, from the X-wing PC expansion to Rebel Assault 2, and beyond.

**** son. That's a hard question. I may just have to get my beloved HWK-290. Just enough space to kick back and relax between routes, small enough to fit in hangar bays...
But if I want to be super practical..?
The YV-929 is an excellent choice. But if we're extremely lax...
Then I'll take a Y-8 Mining ship, make a boatload of money privateer-mining, get a family started and just have that be our home in the stars. Convert that bad boy's ore-bay into a shuttle hangar.
There you go... setting up shop and such. I wuz gonnah be a mean-ass and do Bounty Stuff.

Ah, ah. But see, my friend.
That cargo bay can also be a bounty prison.
"Where's the bounty?"
"With 30 others. I'm mass-cashing-in."
"Good god, man. They need food too."
"Oh they're fed. Sometimes."
Just think. That cargo bay can be a mobile prison. It disturbs me, almost, how utterly underutilized the Y-8 is in-lore. It needs a LOT more exposure than it gets.

I'm with you. Something about the tried-and-true nature of the Y-wing is alluring. In the same vein, I'd take a z-95 or corvette
Ooh, Vaksai would have been my second choice, Dodt! I've always thought they looked a little like a BSG Viper.

Same.

You know, an old friend of mine in SWG said that too. You play it back then? Server, character?

I can even zoom over with one or two captive-folks and drop 'em and such.
We cant pick the viper can we?
NO! Joe! bad post!
But if I could pick ANY ship... I would have to say the Sundered Heart. a CR90 with beefed up engines and firepower?!? yar

Then why stop there? Why not take the Eclipse?
Death Star with a sewer grate over the exhaust port.
Tie Phantom. That fighter is evil incarnated.
Z-95 HEADHUNTER!
:D
(Fighting for the Rebels, of course!)

AWW! I love DAT!

Not as terror inspiring as the Eclipse
My heart wants to say TIE Interceptor, but my head knows I'm not that good a pilot, so probably something that starts with YT.
Wild Karrde, Lady Luck or Jade Fire...why choose? Why...Choose?
YT-1300, or YT-2400 or YT-(whatever Ghost's designation is) - something that could be lived in and be my mobile base of operations while I smuggle and bounty hunt...
...if we are restricting to smaller ships, either an X-Wing or an A-Wing. I have a little red MINI convertible, lots of days it feels like I'm driving my own A-Wing
