Titles

By Felswrath, in Star Wars: Armada

So I was just wondering, since there are two Rebel Nebulon-B's called the Salvation, Juno Eclipse's flagship, and a Medical Frigate, which is the title supposed to represent? Additionally there are at least two Imp Star Destroyers named Tyrant, one was in Death Squadron, while the other was The Inquisitor's Star Destroyer. Does anyone have any idea? And if we see more titles how do you think the will be issued and what ones will we see?

No reason why they couldn't be the same. Were they ever in different places at the Same Time ?

Wow. So reading this on phone. Saw the titles the wrong way. Lol

And +1 for why not be same?

That must have been doubly disappointing.

Timing differences and different authors. This is why the EU annoys me.

way I imagine it for both Armada and X-wing, titles are less the name (Millennium Falcon) and more the modifications named ships have taken in order to assume their unique identities (BTL-A4)

so whatever the hell modifications Salvation has to hit that hard (probably deviating real bad from the Neb-B blueprints because **** things are not supposed to be that deadly) is represented by the title

any redundant Salvations on the table is just great minds thinking alike

Thousands of ships in the galaxy, it seems pretty plausible that names can repeat. I'm sure they each have distinct serial numbers, but nothing necessitates then all having different names.

I would assume the Medical Frigate, as the other one died in it's only game appearance.

As for the ISD Tyrant, the Death Squadron version is probably what they're going for, as it was actually in the movie, and has a long history in the EU (as it was later Leia's flagship, the Rebel Dream).

Realy, I would have thought the other due to the fact that a medical frigate would probobly have a lighter armament than a flagship.

Hang on, where are you guys getting this title Tyrant? I don't see it in the preview article.

Don't ask me how, but somehow I mixed Relentless for Tyrant.

Blasted autospell. That is my excuse for such things, feel free to use it.

Maybe, but if you've ever played the old X-Wing game (where the Salvation comes from), you'd know that Nebulan-Bs are no joke, Medical Frigate or not.

If I remember correctly, it took 9 CR-90's to match 1 Neb-B. They were scary when they showed up.

Yeah, Neb-B's in X-Wing were just pure evil. I guess they were doing the exact job they were designed for in that game....they were literally designed to defend against Rebel fighter raids, not fight capital ships (though they are no slouch at that in light combat either).
