I've played a 300-pt equivalent quite a bit. It's a good list I think, but results have been mixed. Largely do to my own (lack) of skills.

What is better? 3 Y-wings, 3 X-wings, or 3 A-wings if I drop of most/all the upgrades from the last AF?

Probably because the rebel playstyle is fun and exciting. And they in general seems to have the advantage, I think the gencon special was a fluke due to the limited matches and the score system (not dissing the winner or anything, excellent flying!). Maybe my opinion will change though! But currently my toughest games I have played so far have been rebel vs rebel games.
