ALIENS Movie characters/gameplay with DARK HERESY rules

By Emirikol, in Dark Heresy House Rules

Thought I'd run the intro scenario with some slight theme modifications and the characters from the ALIENS movies. Here's the /preliminary/ work-up:

Comments, accolades, criticisms, flames, and outright personal attacks are welcome :)

Dietrich, Ferro, Spunkmeyer, and Ripley should switched to adepts. Ripley just takes an elite advance from Hicks to get the weapons training.
Burke would be a Scum. He doesn’t have any definable skills other than being out for his own good.
Hudson is a case where I would be tempted to make him an adept with a few elite advances, since he is an electronics (tech) specialist. Otherwise he would have some sort of specialist training from the Mechanicus as a Guardsman background package.

I would consider changing flak vest to light carapace chest and legs. Otherwise add legs to the flak coverage.
Maybe put the Compact trait on the GL in the M-41A to differentiate it from the stand alone piece.
Motion Tracker = Auspex

All excellent ideas!

I was going to put the main characters together and then let the players choose as necessary.

You might just as well give them all Guard Flak, they would and should need it.

Hicks doesn't have a pistol as his backup weapon. He has a shotgun.

Keep Ferro and Spunkmeyer as Guardsmen. They obviously have taken Pilot(Military Craft) and Adepts don't get that. I agree that Ripley is more of an Adept, though. Remember, in the first movie she is the communications officer of the ship.

For Hudson, I'd put him as an Arbitrator. Arbitrators get both Security and Tech-use early on (rank 2), yet still retains the feel of a militaristic class.
