Crit on Dark Knight 2: 1d100+10 60
[PbP] Heirs to the Legacy IC
Marsten's roll is good! And great narration. Thank you.
Kell's lightsaber did indeed sever something vital in the dark knight's chassis. The droid made several more swings at him, but now its joints began to grind together.
Next PC!
...I must help... They need my help! I can't let them down, it's my responsibility!...
Lavin produces his lightsaber and steps forward to reach Dev'rios, who seems the most exposed of all to him.He concentrates for a second and talks mentally to Dev'rios, advicing him on a combined attack against the droid...
Until TCArknight checks in, Dev'rios is open for others to play. It would definitely be appropriate for him to take this next turn, if someone is willing.
swsheets.com/c/qi2oljvdo-dev-rios-chol
Dev'rios feels when he has to strike to take advantage of the diversion. Lavin's maneuver works fine - he braces his saber with two hands in a classical Makashi finishing move, closes his eyes to focus for an instant and...
-Here, clanker!
Tahiri steps forward looking to position himself in a way to aide Dev'rios. Tahiri miscalculates Dev'rios position with his attacker and is unable to position himself accordinly to help Dev'rios.

Would you like to give Dev'rios' next attacker a Setback die?

Would you like to give Dev'rios' next attacker a Setback die?
-Tahiri! The troopers! Try to thin their ranks, they're too many!
Attacking Kell with shield and blade: 3eP+1eA+2eB+4eD 0 successes, 1 advantage

The Dark Knight engaged with Kell was now too slow to land an effective blow on the Jedi—first it charged in with its shield, then swung with its sword, but its halting motions were more than slow enough for Kell to dodge with little effort.
Meanwhile, the Dark Knight inside with Marsten paused, and its blue-lit vocabulator blinked a few times as if communicating with something...or someone. Then, without warning, it ran at the Gank, smashing at him with its large shield. A resounding clang came from inside the building, like the sound of speeder crash.
Marsten was just up against the wall, but when the droid pulled away, a very sizable crack could be seen in its shield, courtesy of Marsten's cybernetic repulsor fist.
Attacking Marsten with shield: 3eP+1eA+2eB+2eD+1eS 1 advantage, 1 Despair

The Dark Knight's shield is damaged one step.
Next round! First PC is up, anyone can go.
H4L dives for cover, then hurls a grenade at one of the batches of Stormtroopers.
"Frag Out!"
The orb sails through the air towards a cluster of the troopers, bounces over the hovercar they are hiding behind, and then lands, neatly, in the outstretched hand of one of the stormtroopers who only has a moment to stare dumbly at it before saying;
"Oh f-"
And then the explosion rips through the tightly packed group. The concussion wave pulping flesh and shattering bone.
'Nother Grenade: 1eA+2eP+2eD+1eS 1 success, 1 advantage, 1 Triumph

Uh huh, oh yeah. Activate blast. 10 damage plus 9 in the blast.
Three stormtroopers, atop the roof, are indeed piles of goo and little bits of plastoid.
Attacking Dev'rios: 3eP+1eA+1eB+2eD+1eS 4 successes, 1 Triumph

The third Dark Knight, pressing his advantage against the momentarily stunned Dev'rios, pushed past Lavin's defense and cut the other Jedi with a shallow gash across the chest.
Critical Injury (Dev'rios): 1d100 23 – Off-Balance: Add
to Dev'rios' next check, in addition to upgrading the difficulty once (due to the last combat check against him).
Dev'rios takes 12 damage, minus soak (so 9 wounds), and can parry another 4 damage for 3 strain. In TCArknight's absence, can someone please make the decision on this! If I don't hear anything I'll assume he wishes to Parry.
Next 4 PCs, please! Let me know if I need to clarify positioning or anything.

Marsten sees the retracting Droid and its shield freshly damaged. "This is my chance." He said to himself. He kicked off the wall for momentum and used that to carry him into a diving roll past the Droid towards his lonely Blaster. The Repulsor Field around his Fist dissipated once he started the roll; allowimg for that hand to scoop up the Blaster from the ground as he rose to his feet out of the roll and spun about, facing the Droid's backside. Pure instinct took over as he poured blaster fire in the direction of the Droid; his teeth clenched in a terrible state of joy and anger.
As the Droid fell forward on its face and wrenching its arm in the landing, Marsten paused the onslaught and scanned the area. Feeling better about his situation, he called out. "You know that 'help me out'..." He said with a pause. "You can cancel that." He added while holstering his blasters.

Edited by ApocalypseZeroThe droid is "bowled over" (knocked down and suffer 1 strain). I'm adding a further +10 to the second critical injury for a total of 99 (Crippled) to cripple the droid's weapon arm, increasing the difficulty of all checks using the arm by 1.
Kell grinned as the droids vibroblade passed through the space he had been moments before. His last strike had damaged something vital and it was showing. The Knight was slowing down, perhaps he'd hit a hydro-valve, or perhaps a limb-motivator, either way it was time for him to press the advantage. He parried another jolting, jerking swing from the droid and then went on the offensive, spinning and twirling into a force-enhanced chain of attacks. He smashed at the droid's shield and blade, each strike sending up hot sparks from the tortured metal. He was a Green Tornado as he outmaneuvered the droid at every turn; his avalanche of blows finally hammering through the droid's defenses and leaving a long red scar behind where his lightsaber cut into the droid's thorax.
(Flipping a destiny point to upgrade my lightsaber check, 7 damage @ Breach1, using the triumph to crit @+20 now i believe)
Attacking Dark Knight 2 (Destiny Point to Upgrade): 4eP+1eA+1eC+1eD+2eS 1 success, 1 Triumph

(Crit Roll 72)
Crit on DK 2: 1d100+20 72
Edited by BigSpoonThe Dark Knight, engaged with Kell, could barely bring its shield up in time to block its most critical components. Still, it slogged on in true mechanical fashion, heedless of its impending doom, obeying its directive with calculating determination.
Next two PCs please! Marsten, Kell, and H4L have already gone this round.
Tahiri dashes forward with his lightsaber overexerting himself in an effort to gain ground on the incoming troopers. He lashes out at the first one he reaches and connects with him.
1eA+2eP+2eD: 2 successes

That is 8 stun damage in total.
Tahiri suffers 2 strain putting him at 2/15 for now.
Edited by OtterJethroMeanwhile, near the tavern...
Dev'rios and Lavin still circle around the Dark Knight like sharks... though the blasted droid has been defending quite toughly up till now...
Lavin once again tries to telepathically with Dev'rios, so as to coordinate an attack...
Tahiri's charge took the stormtroopers by surprise, and his powerful strike made the targeted trooper cry out as he withstood the stunning jolt. Even as Tahiri closed on them, however, their fire was tracking on him.
Attacking Tahiri: 3eP+2eA+1eC+2eD+1eS 4 successes

Tahiri receives 13 damage (minus soak) and may Reflect if he wishes!
Last PC is up! That's Dev'rios (no word from TCArknight...Jereru, would you like to take his turn again?)
Dev'rios takes the time to aim his strike, waits for an opening and...
Dev'rios takes the time to aim his strike, waits for an opening and...
Did Dev'rios take two strain to aim twice?
Edited by awayputurwpnWhy would he aim twice?
He rolls 1 Blue for Aiming and 1 Blue for Lavin's Assist Maneuver.
Why would he aim twice?
He rolls 1 Blue for Aiming and 1 Blue for Lavin's Assist Maneuver.
Thanks! I had missed that.
(in answer to your question, he'd aim twice to get a second Boost die! But seeing as he's rapidly approaching his strain threshold, that'd be an ill-advised idea)
