One seeming oddity that I wish to clarify is Recon Specialist on the Falcon. Marksmanship changes focus to hits anyway, so at first it might seem pointless, but two focus tokens will help with evading incoming attacks. But I feel I could spend the points better.

Remember: Marksmanship, Focus, and Evade are all Actions. You can only pick one of them per round, making Marksmanship terrible for its cost.

The Falcon has only 1 agility, so Defensive Focii from Recon Specialist aren't worth much either.

Nein Nunb adds greens, but as you have no method of stressing yourself, he's not adding much for you either.

Shield Upgrade improves the Falcon's durability by 1/13. That's not worth 4 points, nor is it worth the modification slot.

Marksmanship is still terrible on Leebo.

Mangler + Outrider is decent

Now, for the upgrades you want to use instead:

Chewbacca wants 2 of the following 3 crew: Gunner, C3-P0, R2D2.

If you don't have a Rebel Transport, Gunner is necessary. If you don't own a Gunner, Luke Skywalker does the same thing for more squad-points.

With Gunner/Luke, Recon Specialist or Marksmanship become viable again, as you can use the action to buff both attacks.

Chewbacca wants 1 of the following 2 Elite Talents: Predator, Push the Limit.

Predator improves damage without forcing you to use your actions offensively, freeing you up for an Evade (or Boost).

PtL improves your action economy at the cost of subsequent mobility. This lets you use offensive actions, or Boost and Evade in the same round. This, + Rec Spec + Gunner + MF Title, is the 3rd wave version of HSF, but on Chewbacca instead.

Chewbacca wants 1 of the following 1 modifications: Engine Upgrades

Boost is incredible on a large-ship, particularly with a large-ship that ignores its firing arcs.

Leebo wants 1 of the following 1 Elite Talents: Determination

Leebo's pilot ability stacks with Determination, so that if either of the two cards drawn is a Pilot crit, you discard both and receive no cards for that damage result. This happens 41% of the crits you'll suffer.

Leebo wants crew that buff survivability, preferably without costing actions.

Chewbacca is probably best, but you've got him flying a ship instead.

Jan Ors allows you to throw an Evade token on a nearby ship using a Focus action, including yourself.

R2D2 allows you to regenerate shields, making you more likely to suffer Crits against your hull, which you will then be more likely to discard.

This slot has the most leeway in your build, so experiment here.

Leebo wants 1 of the following 2 cannon configurations: Mangler + Outrider, Heavy Laser with no title.

Also note that there are faaaaar too few points to be able to get your picks out of every slot, so think of all of the above as having a "null" option as well.

That's how new I am to X-Wing, I knew something didn't add up but didn't realize it was two actions.

Leebo with determination. OK.

But I'll have to try each of the Chewie builds to see which one I like best, and fits my gaming style, as they all look tempting.
