Conversion of the aggressor

By slimeball, in X-Wing

I love the rules of this ship but the model looks too much like a tick or other bug to me. Has anyone done any decent conversions on it to make it look less so? I can see the legs are hindged so wonder if they would look alright retracted against the hull.

I fly them on no pegs so they actually skitter like bugs.

I think the bug-look is both deliberate and very fitting. If I recall correctly, back in the halcyon days of the modelling and repaints forum, someone remodelled their Aggressors with arms in various menacing positions...

I too cannot stand the look of these guys, but Sixwood is a goddamn magician. Those articulated aggressors of his are always at the back of my mind when I think about going 'full scum' and diving in...

Looking at that, i think even just dropping the arms 45 degrees downwards from the horizontal plane might work to give it more depth.

Now that's reminding me of the old PC game Decent.

Yep. Same.

I painted mine like a Black Widow , a metalic dark grey over the hull, a red cockpit, some red highlights and the red hourglass mark on rear.
