One, two, and four K-wings are acceptable.
Do I need two K-Wings?
I'm still deciding if I want 1!
Since the game launched I've been almost exclusively Imperial, with 2 shuttles, 2 Firesprays, pairs of Phantoms, Advanceds, several Interceptors, picked up a raider, etc. When my brothers and i would go in for a core set, I'd keep the TIE fighters and they'd get the X-wings.
Only buying a B-wing because I liked it, Rebel Aces and a Z-95 for the same reasons. I bought the new core for my own dice and templates, and the TIE/FOs, so I've got a blue X-wing, I could probably put some nice lists together. The only secondary turret ship I have is a Y-wing that belonged to my younger brother. It was broken and I repaired it but the dials and ship tokens/cards were lost in a move between apartments.
I'd want to run it in a scum list since I've recently bought 3 M3-As (They look cool to me even if they are near-junk), 1 Kihraxz (probably getting a 2nd), 2 StarVipers (for the autothrusters) and a Houndstooth. It means I'll have to buy a Most Wanted pack for the dials and 2nd Y-wing.

not 3?
2........2........you need 4!
I have an untested list that runs 3. I am feeling pretty good about it, but my hopes will surely be dashed by the end of the year.
at lest Two ships of each are needed, with the exception of 2 Falcons, and 2 Yt-2400, and obviously the huge ones.
That´s the truth ![]()
I'm getting another six.

You should only buy 1 Interceptor Expansion.
And 2 Imperial Aces.
Edited by VulfCan't tell you what you _should_ do, but I can tell you what I do:
Small ships:
Scum and Rebels get bought in pairs. I tend to get 4 of each.
Imperials get bought in trios- I tend to get 3 of each. (Yup. 3 Imperial Aces and 3 standard Squint packs. Because.)
Large ships and the small Epic ships I buy 2 of- except the Aggressor, because you just need to run all 4 brobots in an epic game.
I only have 1 each of the CR-90 and Raider. I want more, but I'm not quite that silly.
I'll definitely be getting 2 of the Gozanti.
So a second K-Wing? The first one needs a squadmate, right?!

Most of us start mono faction but there's no harm in a bit of variety, you can get burnt out playing the same thing constantly so having two or all three factions let's you play differently.
Empire is still my faction but I have fun playing all three.

I was the same, used to split the core sets with a mate. I got 2 ties he got the X-wing. Was exclusively Imperial for a few months, then I succumbed to the Rebels as I just wanted a Falcon!
Still fly Imperial lists more than others, but its nice to have different lists to fly from any faction.
Also helps I got my fiancée hooked to the game and her love for Boba led her to collect Scum, between us both we have every ship!
To play 100 pt games perhaps one.is enought. But if your aim is to build a fleet you need al least two, because small ships are quite more interesting if they are " Flight B, Warden Squadron, mine duty" than just " a K wing "
And if you only will field one, you do not need a Ghost. Just a Laser color print. To include only ONE conner template is a slap in the face.
Get three.
I've been pushing three Warden Sqn K-wings and have been having a lot of fun. One is an escort gunship with the other two bombed up as much as I can.
Maybe not a tourney winning list but fun to fly.
ever play EPIC games? Get 4 just in case!!! besides they look cool!! Just forgo one night chasing women at the local pub and you will have enough dough for 10Ks.lol
