Random Y-wing pilot ideas

I posted two of these before but here have some random thoughts and just more ideas for Y-wing pilots, the named ones are lacking somewhat I find. And I like the Y-wing... I am tired I should be sleeping instead of posting this.

Davish Krail, Y-Wing... "Stay on target..."

PS 7, turret, two torpedoes, astromech, EPT

"When you receive a stress token, 1 other ship at range 1 must receive a stress token."

Tiree, Y-Wing... "Computer's locked, getting a signal!"

PS5, turret, two torpedoes, astromech

"1 critical result from friendly torpedo weapon attacks cannot be canceled if you are at range 1 of the friendly ship." (alternatively... "cannot be canceled if you have a target lock on the defender.")

Telsij, Y-Wing... "There's too many of them!"

PS7, turret, two torpedoes, astromech, EPT

"At the end of the activation phase, if you are inside the firing arc of at least two enemy ships, you may perform a free boost or barrel roll action."

Ekelarc Yong, Y-Wing... "I'm hit! *spirals to a fiery explosive end*"

PS6, turret, two torpedoes, astromech

"After being dealt a number of damage cards equal to or exceeding your hull, immediately perform a two straight maneuver. You are destroyed at the end of the combat phase and deal 1 damage to each ship at range 1."

Obviously these are not super balanced or useful, just random thoughts based on the movies and whatever I happened to read online.

Fun ideas. I like the stress dealer. Helps you make high-PS enemies fly off the board...

I'd really like to see that too - However I think it would work best as a Y-Wing Gunner upgrade rather than a straight up crew slot so you can avoid any potentially broken interactions with Astromechs.

I like Tiree's ability here, it would really give people a reason to use Proton torpedoes with their ability to convert a focus to a critical hit if it applies to himself, even more so if it works on others he's flying with (such as B-Wings with a Mangler Cannon and such).

Krail's ability would be a kind of counter to Imperial builds with Rebel Captive or Mara Jade, which admittedly or two of the more annoying crew upgrades for me, and would encourage him to get in close with an autoblaster or BTL-A4 title.

Yong's is kind of dumb to be honest with the forced two-straight aspect, but I would definitely have a lot of fun with a Y-Wing that blows up when it's destroyed because it would really mess with my opponent's targeting priorities. Maybe just let him perform a free boost action during the end phase, which makes him susceptible to stress when trying to take people out but gives him some flexibility in choosing where he goes if your opponent doesn't actively work to lock him down when they choose to take him out. Kind of like this, I guess:

I'd put Davish at 5, and Tiree at 3 personally. It's bad enough when Garven is the 2nd lowest PS pilot in Red Squadron, I don't want poor Dutch to be in the same place.

A few named Y's with EPT ....

We definety need to see Pops Krail. He's the voice of experience, keeping the rest of the team focused on the objective.

Yeah some of these guys probably need lower skill, especially Tiree I think. And as to Yong, I have no idea, it is hard to come up with an ability for a guy who is only known for getting shot down and spiraling out of control into a Star Destroyer.

And also for Krail, I think his ability would apply to friendly ships too if they are in range... much like the ruthlessness EPT for the imperials... perhaps that is how Dutch died, dat stress. You know... if you consider stress to be pilot distraction, panic, or difficulty stabilizing the fighter. Sorry, Dutch.

Also if Tiree does get an ability based on his target locking of an enemy, that would synergize nicely with Dutch's skill of handing off target locks.
