So far, FFG has only said bowed characters do not contribute skill to a conflict.
What do you mean by bowing the Stronghold not contributing force? Strongholds act as strength modifiers to the Province they are sitting on. Do you think there is the potential for Strongholds to NOT add their Strength to the Province they are on while bowed? That would certainly be interesting.

I guess there was no indication either way, that is my point. Say if you are playing Crane and someone attacks your stronghold politically. If I bow my stronghold to bow an attacker, will I get the +2 or whatever to the province strength. My inclination is that yes I will, but we don't have confirmation. The only rule we know is that bowed characters don't contribute strength, so Strongholds/holdings/attachments we do not know about yet.
The Dragon get their day in the sun!
Attachments boost the character they are attached. The attachments bowed or unbowed don't matter. It matters what the character's unbowed/bowed state is.
Holdings and Strongholds just are there to give an ability or action and a boost to the province. Bowing is only to pay for the action and we haven't seen any holdings yet that need that. There is no Military or Political Force to contribute just Bonus province strength.

Boeing, huh? Well that's unexpected. Didn't think they played L5R.
Hey, I finally got our Crab episode done! All the Crab discussion you can shake a stick at, plus some free history lessons for those not steeped in the classic lore.
I was waiting G for two weeks to hear your reaction to Nezumi being back. Not bad but I would enjoy hearing more next time.
Sorry, Jay was too busy being excited about Spooky writing L5R again to get into the Ratlings.

So near the beginning of this one, you mention one of the reasons Shoju leads the coup is he thinks the Hantei emperor is weak and bad for the Empire.
I'm curious why people like to put Kisada's personality on Shoju so often?
Shoju was always motivated by the Akodo/Hantei prophecy, not a dislike for (his friend) Hantei XXXVIII.
Unless there's some sauce I'm unaware of?
I like the theory that Ujimitsu died by spontaneous combustion because:
1.) He decided to write a death poem while he was burning, which takes a heroic level of self discipline.
2.) They didn't need to cremate him afterwards which is very convenient. They just sweep him up and put him in an urn.
I think part of the reason people want Ujimitsu's death to be more important (than just he died because he was sick) is probably because he was a significant character in the legacy story. Though with Phoenix it seems like they can have their cake and eat it too if Tsukune can talk to Ujimitsu's spirit so it is possible his death was completely mundane.

While downloading this on my RSS feed, I got episode 218.
It was trippy for a few moments.
yeah the itune feed looked like it was messed up when I checked it. I direct downloaded it from their website.
So not just my feed. I'm listening off the website right now.
Sorry for the inconvenience. I will check the various links and feeds when I can later today (alas, it would not be the only time I've messed up something like that).
Should be fixed now.
Just to get one more bit of commentary in
