So I had a situation in a game yesterday where I dropped a Conner Net, and it it two ships. My friend, and I played it as if it effects both ships because in EVERY miniatures game on the planet ordnance effects anything that hits the template. Proud of my achievement I snapped a picture of it and uploaded it to my local FB group. One of the members commented that the Conner Net should have only effected one ship. So I took a look at the rule card, and the only specification on a target is "the ship" which is a little vague. So in this case is it only one ship taht would be effected? I also noticed that cluster mines say the same thing. So if I drop cluster mines in a spot that a single disc would explode and hit multiple it only effects one?
Clarification needed on Bombs, Mines, and Conner Nets
Check FAQ for Prox mines
In case of multiple overlap, it's indeed only one ship affected (chosen by whoever lay the mine)
As fickle says, the FAQ covers exactly this issue. Your local FB group had it right.
Thanks for the feed back. I have never used mines, bombs, ect before this wave so I'm still learning the ropes.
They're fun, eh?
Very much so! I've enjoyed flying Deathrain the most so far. Her front drop ability has set up some great shooting rounds for me. However I'm starting to grow more and more fond of a Simple Warden Squadron K-wing.
K-wing is best-wing
Warden is the best bomber in the game right now in my opinion. Such fun, much bomb!
Yeah I'm surprised by how well it can move out of those ACK NO!!! scenarios. I also have found the new T-70 makes an excellent escort for it!
Oooooh, that means I have been playing bombs incorrectly. I've loved having slave 1 drop a seismic charge and hitting 2 sometimes 3 goons in a round. I had better check that faq.
Thanks for the clarification!

Seismic charge and Proton bomb say "each ship in range 1", so hitting multiple ships isn't a problem. This is only for cluster mines, proximity mines, and conner net.

You're right about Seismic Charges though, as they do hit everything within Range 1 of them when it detonates at the end of the Activation Phase.
Ion Bombs and Proton Bombs work the same way, everything in R1 is hit, while Cluster Mines, Conner Net and Proximity Mines affect only 1 ship that comes in contact with them.

Ahhh cool. Dropping a Seismic Charge amidst some bunched up chuckleheads is one of my favourite things.
Just to be safe, when a Seismic Charge charge detonates all ships in R1 receive 1 damage. This only applies to enemy ships and theydo not roll evades. Is this correct?
Thanks for the clarification.
Edited by ConandoodleAll ships including yours take damage if they are in R1. No evade rolled but individual ships may have some sort of damage mitigation ability that could apply.
