OT vs TFA

By DB Draft, in X-Wing

The YT-2400 is one of the better designs to come from the EU, I think it deserves to be canon. I daresay I like it as much as the Falcon itself. There looks to be two variants of it though...even on the card art. I used to cruise around in one when I was playing SWG (a game I will forever miss). Dash Rendar himself however looks like he doesn't really belong in Star Wars imo.

Nothing about Star Wars ships needs to make sense, when you think about it. The tie fighter has HUGE blind spots, which would make it extremely dangerous to dock/maneuver and dogfight with. I'm shocked people are still talking about the darn intake thrusters, the new X wing looks retro...it looks cool...it looks like a cleaner refined version of the industrial X wing from the OT.

Don't vorry about the YT-2400 its primary canon for many reasons besides the fact its in ep IV. As for TIE blind spots, the pilots helmet is fed data from every scanning system on the TIE. If their helmet is turned on fully they can see their targets through their panels although the pilots are not supposed to manually dock their TIEs, its the landing crews job to do that most the time. Nothing to lose guzzaline over.

No starfighter pilot relies on sight because there's no perspective in space that's why they have sensors.
