Question on Attacks

By Corellian Corvette, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

So, situation: I have a CR90 with 3 health and 1 shield remaining on the rear. A victory star destroyer attacks with the side arc to my side arc with a battery of 2 red and a blue, gets 2 hits and a blue crit.

It then adds a blue dice for another hit. I spend my evade to re-roll the blue crit and get an accuracy result.

Is the accuracy result negated at this point, or does he lock down my CR90's redirect before I could use it? And do i have to use the CR90's evade before redirects?

The next attack would of been a blank and 2 accuracies, so this is a live or die moment.

Nope. Look at the first page of the Rules Reference on page 2 at the bottom left. The Spend Accuracy Icons is before spending defense tokens. So the accuracy is useless.

With SW-7 Ions coming out and they can most likely turn that no damage into damage

Oh, we had this answered. We can wait and see before choosing to use another defense token for the evade.

Lyreaus is correct, as the order of attack is basically

1)gather dice

2)Roll

3)Attacker modifies(rerolls etc.)

4)Spend accuracy

5)Defender modifies(defense tokens)

6)Resolve damage(choose critical effects and suffer damage)

Thanks for answering so soon! I pmed my opponent and asked him if this affects the last round of our game at all.

It would basically mean I would get an 8-2 win instead of a 7-3 win. I will leave it up to him though, we didn't know, and because I was barley winning at the time I gave it to him.

No problem. You guys get back to me quickly enough

Hmm...useful information...

i lost a Gladiator recently because i forced a doubledamage Red die reroll into an Accuracy, to which he prompty stated "Well then i block your shimmy(rerout shields)" - immediately screwed me since he did more damage than i could take.

Apparently that was incorrect. Good to know in the future....thought that didnt make any sense

Along those lines...

Can I declare my evade, make him reroll, then decide whether to use a brace or redirect? Or do I have to declare all of my defense tokens at once?

We had this one answered, too! :D

You can indeed spend the Evade, Make him Reroll, then Wait to see if you need/want to use the Brace or Redirect.

Third post. I cover that.
