Hello all. I participated in my first tournament at a FLGS last night as my first games. I did fairly decent considering my lack of ships and experience.

So my biggest question to you all..what is the bestbang for my buck shipwise? I have the original core set,the TFA core,Y wing,Kwing and Z95 thus far.

This or most wanted and a hawk 290. Plenty of bang for your buck there and would give you another faction squadron to play around against.

If you're keen on playing Imperials, then the best value is either the Imperial Aces expansion which complements your Core Set TIEs very well. Imp Aces comes with two copies of Push the Limit which is a great card and can only be otherwise found in the A-wing kit (which is a pretty lackluster kit IMO).

For Rebels, I would suggest getting either the YT-1300 or YT-2400, both of which are great ships. Rebel Aces unfortunately requires quite a few other purchases for cards (which you don't need for friendly games of course).

In general, it's easier to learn the game and also beneficial to run a list without too many different types of ships to maximize synergy.

I would recommend either the Falcon,because it's the ship that made the Kessel run in less then 12 parsecs. It's also one of the only way's to get the engine upgrade card, which is a great card. The falcon will play well with the ships you have.
