TLT and R5-K6

By Funkleton, in X-Wing Rules Questions

I'm still not really sure how TLT works within the attack sequence.

It seems like in some circumstances it's most likely going to be treated as a single attack sequence (i.e R3-A2, Jan Ors pilot) - in others it's most likely two separate attacks (i.e Tactician)

So how would it work with R5-K6 in terms of the "You cannot spend this target lock during this attack." restriction ?

Is the second attack treated as a separate attack for these purposes, allowing me to spend the second lock?

those are 2 attacks.

It's the same as Miranda Doni skill - if you are restoring shield, you are reducing firepower for 1 shoot, restore shield and another shoot is at normal firepower (if player uses TLT of course).

I think this is probably right - but I'm struggling to think of a consistent reason why - I have had a tough weekend though :)

They are 2 separate attacks that has to be against the same target. So nothing prevents you from acquiring a taeget lock from rolling an evander on the first attack and then spending it on the second

TLT is always two separate attacks. It just seems like one sometimes because the second attack skips the Declare Target step, so effects that trigger during that step can't trigger on the second attack. R3-A2 is a prime example of this.
