I realize that 4 (or 5!) Inteceptor lists probably never will be Truly Tournament Worthy, but in terms of "fun but playable," what's the best you've got?
Specifically, is there anything better than the classic 4 Royal Guard Tie w/ PTL?
Here's some ideas I've come seen or come up with:
5 Alpha w/ Autothrusters
4 RGT w/ Autothrusters + Lightning Reflexes (Even more arc dodging!)
Anyone got anything else clever or interesting?

Omicron Group Pilot + Advanced Sensors + Fleet Officer + Intelligence Agent

There is a lot that I really like about this squad. Because the Alphas do not have Push the Limit, they can take white maneuvers and perform K-turns at will. In fact, Fleet Officer let's an Alpha Sq. Pilot that K-turns to get a focus token, which is huge! Intelligence Agent helps this low PS squad know where the enemy is going, so we can boost or barrel roll to line up a shot or even block, and any Alpha that does so will still get a Focus token from the Fleet Officer. It's really a versatile squad, and a lot of fun.
Unfortunately, it requires 4 TIE Interceptor Expansion Packs. In fact, this squad is THE reason I picked up a 4th one 
EDIT: Oh, and Advanced Sensors allows the shuttle to follow close behind and bump the TIE interceptors, but still hand out focus tokens. Sometimes its better for the shuttle to take one of the focus tokens.

This is not Meta Fighting, but for fun games this list is great. If your green dice love you, you can rip up the opposition. I haven't played it since the introduction of the twin laser turret and I don't think it will hold up against them. But, if you enjoy zooming around in Interceptors, this is great fun.
I once played 4x Sabers with Elusiveness and Autothrusters to surprising effectiveness against fat turrets.

Heh. Yeah, I was in the same boat! I had two TIE Interceptor Expansion Packs, picked up Imperial Aces, won another copy of Imperial Aces, then on a whim I purchased another TIE Interceptor Expansion Pack (I think; I can't remember). Then the Decimator came out, and I had to pick up that last TIE Interceptor Expansion Pack just for Fleet Officer. I said, "last TIE Interceptor Expansion," but that may be incorrect because I could still pick up a 5th one for an Avenger Sq. Pilot swarm (which I think may deal some serious damage to 4x Gold Sq. + TLT squads).

You could do 4 avengers with autothrusters, plus an academy pilot. That would do even better against Twin lasers (although the poor academy will die every time). Its kind of a paper airplane version of BBBBZ, but you have the interceptor dial/actions, autothrusters and PS3

That particular ship sailed for me long ago! Now I'm thinking I may need a third StarViper because 5 Auto-ceptors does seem sweet. Plus I've gotten into Epic, so that totally justifies it, right?! Right.
Straight up 5 Alphas and 5 Autothrusters is surprisingly effective. If you make the initial engagement at range 3+, there's a good chance you're probably not even going to take a damage in the exchange.

This squad has now beaten Dash + Miranda, Brobots, and a handful of others. I'm very keen to try it out vs. some Imperial ace + Palpatine squad. I think I'll get destroyed, but you just can't underestimate that Intelligence Agent...still loving it!

I like that, but I feel that Veteran Instincts may not be enough to make a difference where you really want it. I guess it trumps Dash, which is nice.
I would replace Veteran Instincts with Adrenaline Rush because actions are so, so important. I only have 3 Adrenaline Rush, though.
