Victory-I
+ Expanded Launchers
+ Dominator
98pts.
I like to call it, "Kill me First, or I'm going to throw as many Dice at close Range as an ISD."
And it usually hurts, because between Red and Blue, I get a couple of Accuracies, letting the 5 Black Dice do the actual damage.
Especially if Screed's around.
If you want to break that 100, feel free to add H9s or a Sensor Team (or even Intel Agent) to really mess up those enemy Defence Tokens, letting your Frontside do the Damage.

Otherwise, a Victory-II with H9 and Warlord is 101 points.
Personally, I don't like Victory-IIs, so I stick with Vic-1s.
Which means a Victory-I with H9 and Warlord is 89pts.
I've actually had some pretty good success with running a VSD-1 with Dominator. Clocks in at 85. This variant has some extra punch before things get close enough to use the black dice and it has saved my bacon a couple of times by being able to destroy a pesky Corvette that has gotten around to the back side of my formation. Basically I use a navigate token and then spam engineering tokens the rest of the game to fuel the special ability.

Just for add something different: V2 with Dominator is a non blindsided monster rolling the same from the sides as the default front.
It's 97 and came without any other upgrade (Maybe Isard or a d. Liason to gather shields for the title) so it's a bit expensive but I would try to add something with medium range in a VVV list. For giving versatility.

Used agresivelly to close the gap the sooner the better. Played really well for me.
Vsd 2 dominator is the absolute ****. I love that "little" guy to death ![]()
The only other ways the vsd can overcome its **** chart are h9 + warlord for fun times and then the carrier vsd (squadrons don't care about your facing)
I'm surprised that no one has mentioned overload pulse with the Dominator. With 5 blue dice, you are very likely to get that critical even without Screed. Add a gunnery team and you exhaust two enemy ships per turn while throwing out up to 14 dice total. I'm going to pair her with an ISD2 with Avenger, Gunnery Team, and SW-7 ion batteries. So no using defense tokens that have been exhausted by the Dominator, and every blue accuracy result translates to another hit.

Total is exactly 300 points.
Needed to drop h9 in favor for a cheaper sensor team. Place the Victory 2's as pincers, and the victory 1 in the middle. Defense Liaison on the two Vicky2's for another way to make use of tarkins tokens to change the dial to drop speed or engineer when necessary, on the go.

Yes, you can do it. If you'd want to, I don't know... The whole point about Overload Pulse is you use it to strip someone of their redundant tokens, so the next attack makes them dispose them.
Gunnery teams won't let you target the same ship, so you are not getting that redundant attack...
You can strip the tokens from Two Ships, though.
expect to see raiders with them. And Issard, because yay stack information!
You know, I bet I would make a mean imperial captain. Hmm, that is good reasoning to why I should become one!
It can be my characters backstory of before I became a rebel scum! Brilliant! Just need to make sure I use only old imperial ships like victories, and I will make an exception to the raider.
I like my Victory 1 with gunnery teams and H9s. Good for fighting assault frigates that refuse to close with you.
It does struggle against incoming gladiators though! Potentially add ACMs if expecting to fight imperials.
