Weird epic interactions

By dotswarlock, in X-Wing Rules Questions

I have been thinking of a few weird epic interactions and I'd like to confirm some of them:

1 - Howlrunner allows the Raider to perform rerolls on its primary weapon attacks

2 - Jonus allows up to 2 rerolls on every of the Raiders attack with its secondary weapons (ouch!)

3 - This one is weird is stretching it on the words: If the Raider has a weapon Engineer and Colonel Jendon transfers a target lock to it (because it had the Lambda title), does weapon engineer allow the Raider to acquire a second target lock?

4 - You could, potentially, use a secondary weapon like the quad cannon, miss and use gunner to fire your primary weapon attack a third time this round (so in essence, keeping your secondary weapon that is the most likey to miss for last as a trigger). This is assuming you fired your primary weapon twice (normal + spend 2 energy) initially.

That's about every weird epic combo that I can think of for the Empire. Number 3 seems sketchy, but the rest seem legit, right?

1) Yep.

2) Yep. Nasty little auto-include, isn't he.

3) Jendon doesn't let the ship in question Acquire a target lock, he simply passes the token.

Weapon Engineer doesn't trigger (though it would from "Dutch" Vander).

HOWEVER, this means Jendon can pass to Interceptors, Phantoms, and TIE FIghters, even though they don't have the Acquire Target Lock action

4) Yes, though this is risky, as ANY missed attack triggers Gunner (thus if you miss with your first attack, you lose the ability to perform any of your remaining attacks).

4) Yes, though this is risky, as ANY missed attack triggers Gunner (thus if you miss with your first attack, you lose the ability to perform any of your remaining attacks).

The FAQ, page 2, has Gunnner/Luke errata'd to include "you may" , so the gunner attack is optional. You don't have to use it on the first attack that misses.

Also, under weird EPIC interactions, Roark or any ship with Swarm Tactics, can boost the EPIC ship's PS.

Swarm Tactic Howlie is really good for the Raider.

Wait, what? When did this happen?

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away.

No seriously it was in the first FAQ after the cards were released I think.

Swarm tactics... so simple and yet I overlooked it completely, gah!
