?????After you perform a green maneuver, you may aquire a target lock.?????
Targeting Astromech?
Color of maneuver unknown (or condition)
But yes hes nearly identical to k4
Only difference is "you execute" instead of "executing"
If it's white or red, it would be a huge boon to the Y-Wing.
Man, I still want a blastromech.
Red would be silly. It'd make Y-wings more accurate. ![]()
Y-wings like the cheap astromechs that make maneuvers green don't they?
If it is red it would help K-turning X-wings a little, and Tallon Rolling T-70 X-wings a lot.
Its most likely a copy of the K4 but in the astromech slot as stated before. If they can make this thing cheap, around 2 points, it would be a fantastic upgrade to astro users. If they follow suit with the K4 I think 3 points might be a little too much.
Might be a colour, or might be something else brief like "straight".- FFG rarely duplicates card effects exactly.
Could be a highly situational card that's discounted because of the triggers - but it is only useful for when you really want it to work anyway. Say gain TL at range 3 after performing a straight. So you can get your opening torpedo volley in when it's actually supposed to count most - at Range 3 with a focus.
If it's a 1 point astromech then you could take 4 rookies that could hammer home 4 dice each with plasma torps, or a mix of protons and flechettes. Since this is most likely yet another munitions-fix I think FFG will be trying to make it as cheap as possible.
If it's 'perform a straight, get a target lock', that'd be 2-3pts.
Hence the "Range 3" limitation. It would probably be "straight green, get a TL at Range 3" to be 1-2pts. 2pts is still too expensive though, when PTL and EI are 3.
Edited by LampyridaeI am about 97% sure it is NOT green maneuvers, because they've never reprinted the same ability on multiple slots, even when many were certain they had based on partial text (Maneuvering Fins/Juno Eclipse, for example).
In my opinion though, that makes it MORE interesting. White maneuver? Amazing. Red Maneuver? Pretty awesome.
What if it says:
After you execute a maneuver, acquire a target lock. ???
That means ALWAYS works, but you cannot acquire a lock on a ship you have locked already, so you have to change it. Might help keep it cheap, but still pretty good.
Idk, just spewing theories. Definitely excited either way.
but you cannot acquire a lock on a ship you have locked already,
You can now. That is one of the things the new edition of the rulebook changed.
There is definetly a {} maneuver condition attached and nothing else
That is simply due to the wording of the card
I actually kinda hope it's straights.
Keep the ship steady, and the mech can do the targeting for you. ![]()
(Greens would be great, but that's K4 Security Droid, and FFG doesn't like doing mirror-match abilities. They'll always tweak them somehow.)
a pure action (after you execute a maneuver) seems Vader good - probably too good. I can't imagine there are no limits on it - unless it costs at least 3...
What about a speed manouever? E.G. Execute a speed '2' manouever and acquire a lock.
