Hey guys, I was pretty bored last weekend, so I got to sketching (my hobby, apart from incessantly tweaking my Yi Shan** deck). I came up with this sketch of Yi Shan in a staredown, and I thought it looked pretty cool, so I scanned it and laid it up here for y'all to see: I know some people on these boards aren't the greatest fans of ShadoWar , but personally, I think it's great: the characters are better developed in those 3-page rough draft bios than some fighting game characters are, ever, and the designs look pretty cool (sure, they have the mandatory Viking/Valkyrja/Old Master Guy stereotypes, but even then they make them feel fairly interesting, and Yi Shan has got to be one of my favorite characters ever on sheer design originality alone). So here it is.

So, what do you think?

I like it a lot, actually. It definitely has a more westernized style to it, (And I really like your style you have), I'm used to most people sketching in a more eastern anime style in things, nowadays. The only thing that looks skimped on slightly is the hands really, but it still works for the artwork and doesn't take from anything. Just compared to the rest

Yeah, I do acknowledge that I went a bit conservative on the hands, but I just felt that it'd be the best way for the claws to stand out, and I wanted to preserve the feel of the tense situation (nothing says tense like a steely stare and hands balled into fists, if you ask me). But yeah, I could have done something a bit fancier. But thanks for the positive feedback, man. It's appreciated. If you want, I can make another sketch and post it here tomorrow (got nothing to do, really).

Feel free to post whatever ya get done, I used to sketch and draw all the time during highschool, but I haven't much in the past few years. I might go dig up my old adon and vega drawing though.

Well, I re-scanned the image. Hopefully this one looks a bit crisper. I also signed it. I'll be probably be working on another sketch today. Anyone got a preference?
