Re: Blast VS Arc Blasters, nb of attachment

By kemurth, in Imperial Assault Campaign

Hi,

We are currently arguing on some rules in our campaign.

First, did the Imperial player can attach any number of cards to a unit? Because the Imperial player currently put 3 attachment on 1 unit and we were wondering, since a limit exist for weapons for the Rebel.

Second, the card "Arc Blasters" and the Blast effect.

Blast effect say: "If an attack inflicts a condition, such as stun or bleed, the condition is applied only to the target of the attack and not to figures affected by Blast"

But the Arc Blasters card say: "After resolving a range attack, each figure that suffered 1 or more "hit" tests (fist). Each figure that fails is Stunned." The second part is "If you have a range attack type, you gain: suge +1, Blast 1

Rebel players wonder if it work with the blast, since it's really OP and annoying. For the last 2 missions they cannot just move more than 12 spaces in 3 turns, they were always stunned.

Thank you!

Cards always overrule the book(s).

As far as how many attachments on an Imperial deployment group, I'm pretty sure you can have as many as you want.

I've never used arc blasters, but it sounds like it.... blasts. So for once the Rebels have to deal with the same tactical dilemma the Imperial have to deal with? Don't all bunch up? Sorry, no sympathy here! Tell them to spread out and focus fire on the guy with the arc blasters!

It is indeed annoying, but yes you are interpreting it correctly.

Every figure that suffered from Blast 1 tests Fist, and if they fail, they're stunned.

As mentioned, counter it by not bunching up, and prioritize killing the figure(s) with Arc Blasters.
